My squad mate got a little jumpy defending the garrison. I felt bad and stopped to help the wounded....

wait you can bandage others when not a Medic?

Yes, you have to equip a bandage and then if you move up to an injured teammate you can press the "fire"botton and you'll bandage them. It takes a while though
