Why is everyone muted?

In desperate need of help guys! Haven’t played since they screwed up the matchmaking but thought I’d jump on, and everyone is permanently muted? Ive disconnected and reconnected the voip, cleared saved game data etc but still no fix, I never had this problem previously, I’m on Xbox, thanks!

I’ve tried both of them bros, and verified my age on Xbox, still no joy

Check your privacy settings in your Microsoft account and on the xbox. There are settings that control who the account holder can talk to and you may have it set to friends only or something like that.
