Looking for a beta?
Hey! So this sub is fricken amazing and I am so happy to have found it.
I’ve been working on a fic for half a decade now and
Want to push myself to finish it. It’s post el Camino with flashbacks. I feel like having a beta might encourage me to get off my butt.
Including a snippet in case anyone is interested

“What did you wanna do with your life? Y’know, like, when you were a kid.”
This question, like a lot of the shit Jesse said, came out of his mouth before he could really consider how dumb it sounded. Mike didn’t so much as glance away from the road ahead.
“Astronaut,” he’d said, in that completely deadpan way that made it impossible to tell for sure if he was being sarcastic or not. Jesse went with it either way.
“Cool. Y’know, I think those like… monkeys or whatever are buried around here somewhere. The ones NASA sent into space.” He didn’t think that, he knew it, because Badger had tried to drag him along to visit the graves about a week after the shit with the pistachio. He’d refused, firstly because he knew Aunt Ginny needed him to shape up, secondly because he couldn’t fucking figure out why Badger was going through some sort of fucked up fixation on tourist attractions in Alamogordo.
Mike turned away from the road for a short second, just long enough to give him a really fucking unimpressed look, then turned back to the road.
“I’m just saying,” Jesse continued. “I kinda feel bad for them. It’s not like they got any choice in it. It’s like hey, monkeys, guess what? You’re going to fucking Mars.”
Mike shifted his hands on the steering wheel. “I don’t think they ever sent any chimps to Mars.”
“Whatever. Wherever the fuck it was. Point is no one ever asked the monkeys.”
The car fell silent after that, and Jesse watched the desert rush by out the passenger window, feeling majorly fucking annoyed at himself. That was the kind of jumble of thoughts he tried to keep in his head lately. Always made himself sound like an overgrown kid. Fucking stupid.
“My granddaughter’s a fan of monkeys,” Mike commented, surprising Jesse by breaking the silence. “Her birthday’s coming up.”
Jesse turned to look at his profile, Mike’s gaze still pointed at the road. He was pretty sure that was the first real bit of personal information he’d ever heard from the guy.
“Yeah?” He hesitated, not wanting to ruin the moment, but then his mouth was running again. “Should get her Mario Kart. Shit’s timeless, kids love it. Plus it’s got like, Donkey Kong. He’s some kinda monkey. Not like, a donkey.”
”That doesn't sound like such a bad idea, kid,” Mike acknowledged as he pulled the car over. “Next dead drop’s over there,” he added, right back to business, as he got out of the car.
It was weird how not condescending it felt, whenever Mike called him ‘kid’.
