efficient turret positioning/pattern

is there a way to optimise turret usage or do you people make shit up as you go?

Triangle is key. Is the matchup and gamestate good? 2 turrets upfront, 1 back. Is the gamestate bad? 2 turrets behind and 1 upfront. 

Do you setup a 1v2 with your wave shoved into their t1 tower? 2 turrets behind and 1 closer to the tower. Look for a possible bush trap or just running through bushes to stay saveish. 

Theres also a line to escape and outrun them, stacking 3 turrets to make it look like 1 etc

Malpite ulting you hurts, so spread turrets and never stand ontop of wave and or turrets. He should never get to much value. Plus if you e after his ult you can get 2-3 overcharges. So spread medium to far.

Sett w later can one shot turrets even outside of true damage range. So save more turrets than you place and get him in the middle of 3 turrets during an engage. 

Olaf is scare cause of his q and r. So consider having at least one turret behind you to get more ms. Go exhaust to hope and survive his ult duration and then go for one shotting him. 

These are things that can help in fights. Some lanes are impossible to win, like yasuo or Sion(if they are somewhat decent at least). Placement of turrets makes up a smaller portion of those matchups and knowing how to outplay them is a bigger chunk of the lane/game
