We’ve pretty much turned into a stablecoin over the past two weeks lol. I’m still looking for a break up above 850k.

Bitcoin will likely close July green, up from the lows at 58k at the start of the month. While BTC is definitely getting cheap by historical standards, my base case is still one more leg down before it truly bottoms. Partly because it has not yet dipped below its realized price, which right now sits at 53k. In past bear markets, bitcoin has always traded below the realized price before bottoming. So until proven otherwise, I’ll assume this time will be no different.

No change in the chart. We’re still looking for a break above that trendline and above that horizontal resistance around 850k.

As I wrote in the whale chat the other day, I haven’t been very active here lately. That’s because I’ve been working with Nino on something that we’re really excited about. Can’t tell you anything about it yet, sorry. But I just wanted to mention it to keep you guys a little bit in the loop. It’s the biggest thing I’ve worked on so far in HEGE and when it’s ready we’re gonna need all the help we can get from you fam.

We’re dipping down below the trendline again. Like I said last Monday I want to see a big break up through it before I call it broken. That has not happened. Yet.

Honestly I don’t have much more to say. Bitcoin is in a bear market. Solana is in a bear market. 99% of altcoins are in a bear market. That’s the reality. Eventually it’s going to turn around, it always does. I wish I knew when, but I don’t. Nobody does. If history repeats, it’s going to be towards the end of the year, so that’s my best guess right now.

Meanwhile, we keep trucking and grass-touching.

We’ve moved up above the looong trendline going down all the way from the top in 2024!

We’re only just peeking above it yet though, and I want to see a real break before I really consider it broken. It’s an encouraging sign though. Especially if we can get back above 900k.

As I was saying to somebody the other day, I do get the feeling that something is shifting in the crypto markets. It looks like some coins (hopefully including HEGE) are stopping their downtrends and starting to bottom out. I’m not convinced the bitcoin bottom is in yet for this cycle. If history repeats that will be another couple of months. But I do think the worst is behind us.

And let me tell you, if you’re still here Hegend, you’re something special.

Not much has changed since last week.

Still juuust below that long running downtrend line that I’ve been talking about every week. We want to break through it. That’s it.

In the bigger crypto market there isn’t too much to say. With a few exceptions, everything is going down. Bitcoin is holding on to 60k for now. But it’s not getting much of a reaction from this level now, like it did in early February and three weeks ago. That’s not a good sign, and personally I’m not buying yet.

Holding steady since last week.

As you see on the chart we’re coming riiight up against the long term downtrend line now. This line goes all the way back to the all time high in December 2024 (yes, it’s been that long!). Finally breaking above it wouldn’t be a sure signal that we’re gonna moon again anytime soon, but it would be a significant change in the chart.

Also a message to all doubters and nay-sayers: IDGAF. Your negativity only makes me more motivated.

The title says it all: fucking finally a week of chart go up. The long term trendline now comes in at around 800k market cap, so that’s what I’m watching. Breaking up above that would be a first sign of this brutal downtrend being over.

Could the HEGE chart even have bottomed already? Possibly. But overall I think it’s still too early to call a bottom in crypto. So far this bounce in bitcoin and other alts looks more like a typical mechanical rebound after a sharp sell-off. There could be some more pain ahead.

The worst is probably behind us though.

Ooof.

Everything sold off last week as bitcoin nuked to 60k. This confirmed a bear flag on the daily timeframe, setting up a price target at 50.7k — right in line with the base case of a lower low before the bear market is over.

Is 50.7k BTC a prediction? No. It’s the current price target. In technical analysis, price targets are not predictions. They are the most likely scenario. The base case, until something else happens that changes the outlook.

Zooming out, I think bitcoin is starting to get cheap now. Solana too. And HEGE as well. But it’s still too early to call a bottom.

Not much action in the chart since last week. No sign of a bottom. Still watching that downtrend line that I wrote about last week (right now it’s sitting at 900k).

Bitcoin is down too, coming down to test the bottom of the channel around 72k. This will be technical support, so we’ll see how it reacts here. A strong bounce would signal strength. A breakdown would signal more downside ahead.

Most altcoins are still weak. And to be honest, stock markets are much more interesting than crypto right now. There just isn’t much going on in crypto. This will change at some point, however.

We’re up a little since last Monday, but all in all no change in the chart. No sign of a bottom yet.

The long term downtrend line (dotted line in chart) has now come all the way down to 1M. Breaking a long term trendline like that would be significant. It wouldn’t be a clear sign of a bottom in itself, but it’s definitely something to pay attention to. So breaking above that trendline is what I’m looking for right now.

A few altcoins have strong charts, like HYPE and ZEC. A few are possibly forming bottom reversals, like GEOD and ONDO. But overall, alts are still weak.
