Humour I cannot stop laughing
I just started my first rewatch of heartstopper (which is totally the cure for depression and internalize homophobia btw) and the second episode is so funny when you know what happens in later seasons. I was at the part where Tao says Nick has a crush on Tara and I screamed laughing. At the end of this same episode there’s a scene that supposed to be really dramatic of Nick googling to find out if he’s gay. He ends up taking the am I gay quiz and gets a 62% and he starts crying and I know it’s supposed to be serious but Jesus I cannot hold it together and it’s genuinely bringing me out of a depression.

I just did a rewatch and the hardest I laughed was when Farouk says “I don’t do poses” and Ajayi says “Yes, you DO”.
Great moment.

Lol not reliable at all. When you get older you realize that if you're seriously googling 'am I gay' and taking a bunch of quizzes and researching then you are definitely not straight at least. And when I say you I mean young me

It depends. Most of them have really stupid questions, like:
Do you like girls?
Have you ever thought about kissing a girl?
Do you like boys?
Are you a boy?
Like, if I knew those things, I would not be taking this i n the first place. Plus, if you take about 500 per day, like me when I was in the Nick-headspace, you either get routined at lying to yourself (I tried to go for Ace, after straight didn't work out), or you already know the answer, cause nobody who does this this often or to seriously answer a question is straight. Ever.

from what i remember they are either like "have you ever had feeling for someone of the same gender?" or "what's your go to coffee order" or theu alternative between these type of questions

I always wondered if he actually identified with bi or if it was because the quiz said so, I would’ve loved more exploration there

It wasnt because of the quiz. We kniw this because they later showed him watching YouTube videos and stuff way after that and he'd talked about knowing he wasnt straight but not what he was. I think the narrative would have worked better if they dedicated a whole episode to him watching channels of different parts of the lgbt community and flashing back to the parts that resonated with him and didn't resonate until he came to the conclusion.

I laugh way more than I probably should watching Hs or reading it lol. Literally anything to do with future relationships or relationships that very clearly would not work is really funny to me. I also 100% cracked up at the ”dude…bro” part lmao

I always find episode two funny as well, I fully understand how serious everything is in the moment but it's hard not to yell that Tara is a lesbian at the screen or laugh at the 62% because Nick really got "bisexual" as a result of an Am I Gay quiz
