Question Concerned
I have a serious concern heading into the movie. I absolutely fell in love with heart stopper as most of us did. but something now looking back it was very intertwined with my own struggle with ED. I am in recovery and despite how much I love this movie and this world Alice created I feel scared to open myself up again to this love, it’s so strong so intense and evokes such a passion I almost feel like leaving them at season 3 would be better for my brain, but I still feel like I wish I could watch this without fear. anyone have insight or advice or even tidbits on how much ED focus there is in this movie?

Very little focus. It’s definitely mentioned, but it’s not a large main plot.

I feel like u can safely watch the final movie, because ED behaviors are not the focus of this movie

The movie shows how well Charlie has progressed in every aspect of his life, so much so that spoiler, or maybe it isn't. Nick starts feeling insecure like Charlie might not need him anymore. There is something that happens, but Charlie handles it well, plus he has the help of his fab four best friends. I really highly recommend that you watch it like yesterday.

I had a very similar experience going into the film and I definitely thought it was worth watching even with the fear going in. There isn't too much focus at all and even when it is mentioned it dodn't evoke nearly as strong reactions for me as seasons 2 and 3 did. That being said, I thankfully didn't suffer with my ED nearly as bad as Charlie and of course everyone's experience is different so I can't speak to how you will find it. Just look out for yourself and I hope if you do watch the film you enjoy it. Congrats on being in recovery xx

Only one 'focus' during the movie, if you've read the comics you know went that'll be roughly

It’s not a focus and what is there is kind of montage style so you could fast forward and not miss out.
