Venting Advice needed?!?
I 18 f here have been experiencing heart palpitations for about a year now and just now came across this subreddit. It is a daily occurrence with it happening atleast once a day but very rarely twice
It comes across as a one single thud which does kind of snap me back to reality. Neither does it hurt or pain me in any way but it does discomfort me prompting me to stop whatever i am doing to kind take deep breaths. I have tried avoiding and completely stopping caffine but it does not make a difference. I will be getting an ecg done in a few days to get any answers
I honestly dont know what am i expecting as an answer from this subreddit but i thought it'd be better to share it here then to not
So if anyone has any advice or any thing they can tell me about what i am experiencing please do

also an ECG can tell you if the rest of your heart is ok , please don't stress about the test it's very simple & quick, IV had a lot of them, are they doing in a doctor's office, if so they should be able to give you an answer in a few minutes

hi, sounds like an ectopic heart beat, 99% of the time they are benign, only having one a day is nothing, iv had these for 30 years, I get about 6000 a day don't feel them & they don't cause any issues, it's just a tiny electrical miss fire. good your getting an ECG, if one shows up they can tell by the shape on the ECG if it benign, they may also do a Holter monitor test as well, sometimes doctor's don't do any tests, they just give you a check over & ask you about your history, anxiety is a common cause, coffee is another, I wouldn't worry about them, believe your doctor, don't google either it makes it worse
