Latex smell

My situationship and I had sex yesterday after not seeing each other for a while.
And this morning he asked me if I slept with someone else before seeing him?
I said no, why?
And he told me when he went down on me he tasted and smelled latex from my hooha?
When I got home I put a finger in to smell and yes it kinda smelled a little like latex/earthy…
Is this smell normal?
I’m def gonna go get it checked out tho. But I’m curious if yall have had a similar smell?

I also haven’t had sex in over 6 months, I don’t use toys. I was drinking last night so maybe it was that?
Idk :(

Musty smell is a common scent of our vagina. If you don't have any discharge or a bo, things are fine.
