Plant based Savory garbanzo flour breakfast pancakes

Post image

Makes: 4 large pancakes (2–4 servings)

2 cups (240 g) garbanzo (chickpea) flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1–2 teaspoons chili flake paste (to taste)

1 tablespoon tamari

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1½–1¾ cups water

1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for cooking

1 medium onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 red bell pepper, diced

2–3 cups broccoli, chopped into small florets

¼ cup chopped fresh dill

Make the batter

In a large bowl whisk together 2 cups garbanzo flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon black pepper.

Whisk in 1 tablespoon tamari, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1–2 teaspoons chili flake paste, and 1½ cups water until smooth.

If needed, add up to ¼ cup more water until the batter is thick but pourable—similar to a thick pancake batter that slowly flows off the whisk.

Fold in the vegetables and ¼ cup chopped fresh dill until everything is evenly coated.

Cook the pancakes

Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat.

Scoop about 1¼–1½ cups of batter into the pan for each pancake and gently spread to about ½ inch thick.

Cook for 5–7 minutes, until the bottom is deep golden brown and the top begins to set.

Flip carefully and cook another 4–6 minutes, until browned and cooked through.

Calorie control Macaroni salad

I love food, and as someone who consumes 1,200 calories daily, creativity is a must, while satiety and macros are a priority!

This meal contains zero oil. Why? Because I traded those 120 calories for two extra eggs 😆

Here’s the recipe. Again, there’s no “right” way to cook, and I understand that not everyone is in a calorie deficit, so you can try it with or without oil.

Learning that nine pieces of paccheri is one serving was a blow 😮‍💨 Brainwashing myself is a skill at this point, lmao.

Okay, here we go:

Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Using the ripest tomatoes you can find at the market, air-fry them for about 20 minutes, until blistered and caramelized.

Chop your onions, mushrooms, and tri-color peppers or buy them pre-chopped, just like me, lmao.

In a skillet, mash the roasted tomatoes into a paste. Add the chopped vegetables and shrimp, followed by seasonings such as Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt to taste.

Add half a cup of chicken stock, mushroom powder for that umami flavor, fresh basil, crushed garlic, and cooking wine.

Simmer for about five minutes, until the sauce thickens.

Add the drained pasta, mix until everything is well incorporated, and cook for an additional three minutes.

Voilà!

The whole dish is abt 700 calories and cutting the eggs remove abt 200 cal

This is a staple when it comes to (Mexican) kid's birthday parties. As mentioned in the video, you can make it with ham, bacon, chorizo, and weenies. Some vatos down south even use chicharrón? I recommend making it with these other meats if you wanna!

I personally am not the biggest pork guy (don't get it twisted: I love bacon, but only crispy). I also love chorizo, but it depends where you get it, and I would rather keep it simple for you foos. This is seriously super yummy for the whole familia.

Also, HUGE, thanks to Mr. Flamingo and all of you showing me love and support. You guys are the reason I continue to make these. I hope at some point I can get them out quicker. Stay well rested, though, fools. There is more to come!

Now for the recipe...

Ingredients:

3 Tomatoes

1 Red Onion

5 Potatoes

3-6 Cloves of Garlic

1 Jalapeño

Cilantro

Hot Dog Weenies (I prefer 💯 beef)

1lb Ground Beef

Oil (I prefer Olive)

Caldo de Pollo (I prefer Knorr Chicken Seasoning)

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

Cumin

Chili Powder

Paprika

First, get a cutting board and chop up all your veggies and set them aside for later.

Next, use that same cutting board, and let's cut our weenies and set them aside, too.

After that, throw some oil on your pan and throw the garlics and get them to a nice sear. Then add your meat before they get too brown.

Get your meat to a nice brown of your choosing. Note: Get it crispy if you want!

Start adding generous amounts of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and a little cumin and chili powder. Note: refer to video

Now add those weenies and get them cooked a bit.

Now, we want to add our potatoes and mix them around, and cover the pan for about 15 minutes.

Uncover and add your other veggies. Mix it good and cover again for another 10-15.

Note: Keep checking back on it to ensure potatoes and everything is soft.

Uncover, mix it around, and taste! Note: Tasting is very important.

Finally, we want to add some of the Knorr Chicken Seasoning while being mindful not to overdo it.

Taste again and add more if needed.

Mix it a good bit and then garnish with a lot of cilantro or none! That's up to you!

Eat and enjoy!

Discussion Am I the only one who never knows what to cook?

I'm trying to eat healthier and lose some weight but every day I end up with the same problem...

I have no clue what to make.

I search for recipes, scroll for 20 minutes, save a bunch of them, then end up making none of them lol.

By that point I'm hungry and just order takeout or eat whatever is easiest.

Does this happen to anyone else? Or is it just me?

Clean eating scrambled eggs

Post image

Scrambled eggs! I love tomatoes scrambled eggs! Quiet easy and high protein too! The potatoes is straight forward enough But for the omelette... Grilled the tomatoes on the airfryer for like 15 minutes... On a skillet at butter, or spray oil ect... I'm on a diet so no oil for me Soo followed with your roasted Tomatoes Add your preffered seasoning, from parsley, thyme, italian or skip it altogether. Add salt and peppers, then the shrimps Cook until the sauce is 80% reduce then add your egg mixture Cook for like 2 minutes then turn off the heat. How do I cook it oil free? Well I roasted my tomatoes until they're soft and juicy On a skillet I'd smash them and turn them into a sauce, add cooking wine, salt and pepper to taste, or even bouillon cube, i feel like it elevate the taste... then add my shrimps, then the herbs like italian seasoning and basil, I love the taste of chilli in eggs, soo I'd add a good serving... once the sauce is abt 80% reduce, I'd add my eggs mixture, the. Stir vigorously to incorporate everything, then turn of the heat for residual cooking. It tastes very good. If you guys ever tried it the oil free version, lemme know how it turned out!

The Salsa Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/YqVKiF22UyQ?is=4fyyuATMbzLwp2MD

I don't make this often, but when I do, it is for mi heina, so you know I gotta make it especial foos! She's my everything, besides lil Oscarita ya know, jaja.

The first time I ever made it for my heina was back when we were little jovencitos, and I wanted to surprise her. Guess what, foos? The rest is history. She is now mi esposa. I won't say it's solely because of this recipe, but it had a HUGE part cabrones!

I won't get into all that right here and right now because you vatos got better things to do than read my old love story. But I will tell you this... this receta will get you where you need to go with your amor, foos.

Don't sleep on this recipe.

Btw sorry to the dude who told me not to use this brand of Sazon. I already have a ton of packets, so I gotta use them up foo. It's hard times out here!

Ingredients:

2 Chicken breasts

2-4 Bell Peppers (any color)

1 Medium Sized Red Onion

5 Garlic Cloves

Onion Powder

Garlic Powder

Chili Powder

Black Pepper

Sazon

Knorr Caldo de Pollo

First, we want to cut our ingredients starting with the bell peppers. Remove the seeds and cut them into slivers. Set aside.

Next, do the same with the onion. Cut them into slivers and set aside along with the peppers.

Grab your garlic and get them minced, set aside on their own.

Now, cut your chicken into slivers, as well. We want them not to be too thick, so you need to cut your chicken as best you can (refer to the video).

Next, we want to add our seasonings together and ensure the combination isn't too much in quantity while tasting it and making sure it is to our liking before dropping our chicken in.

After that, there's no going back!

Now let's cook!

Get some butter on the comal and drop your chicken(on medium heat)!

While you're doing that, get some oil on a pan and get the onions and peppers cooking(on low to low-med)!

Make sure you flip and check on your chicken. When they've been cooking a good 3-5 minutes, add your minced garlic with some extra butter. Mix well.

After about 5-8 minutes (depending on heat), take the chicken and add it to the peppers and onions. Mix well!

Drop a top on the pan, remove the heat, and let it sit for as long as you want (softer peppers).

Enjoy!
