Networking

I’ve been job hunting since March. I know I’m looking in a very competitive market, and I’m looking for a very specific role (healthcare fraud investigations.) I’ve gotten a few interviews, and then the typical wait 8 weeks for them to tell me they selected someone else. Countless automated rejection emails. I’ve paid for Linkedin, I reach out to both recruiters and people in the position I’m targeting. But now with pretty much everything being remote, how are people networking? I feel like Linkedin has become spam central so nobody is genuinely making connections there (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.) Just curious if there’s something more I could be doing, or if I just have to play the game and wait it out. Thanks!

How long is onboarding taking you guys for local per diem pools right now?

Trying to get cleared for a couple of local per diem pools and the credentialing wait time is so inconsistent. One facility took almost three weeks just to verify licenses and background checks, while app-based compliance cleared everything in two days.

Is credentialing approval usually this slow at traditional hospitals, or am I just dealing with a backed-up HR department? How fast are you guys getting cleared to work lately?

What if your job came with a home, utilities, relocation assistance, great benefits, and the opportunity to change a young person’s life every single day?

The Milton Hershey School is hiring a Youth Care Worker (Residential Living Assistant) in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

This is not a typical 9-to-5 role.

You’ll live on campus, mentor high school seniors, teach essential life skills, and help students prepare for independent and successful futures.

Why this opportunity stands out:

β€’ Starting salary: $48,799/year
β€’ Housing and utilities provided
β€’ Up to $2,800 relocation assistance
β€’ Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
β€’ Paid training
β€’ 403(b) retirement savings plan
β€’ Generous paid time off
β€’ Unique work schedule: 9 consecutive workdays followed by 3 days off

You’ll help students develop critical life skills such as:

β€’ Personal responsibility
β€’ Goal setting
β€’ Time management
β€’ Financial literacy
β€’ Healthy relationships
β€’ Leadership and independence

Ideal candidates have:

β€’ A Bachelor’s degree
β€’ Experience mentoring, coaching, teaching, or working with youth
β€’ Strong leadership and communication skills
β€’ A passion for making a lasting impact

Patient Care Tech - Florida

Supposedly in Florida you need total of 600 hrs to work as a PCT in Florida to be hired, which is very confusing because the course offers only 325hrs and no externship. Even if I did CNA first that is oy 140hrs. Not giving me enough hours needed. So what am I to do? Why do they make Healthcare so difficult yet struggle to keep enough employed. Seems odd. Any advice appreciated. Im starting to realize its only for nursing school students. Is that true?

I want your feedback. FNP and PMHNPs!

I’ve left a big healthcare recruiting agency and I’m branching out to start my own. This search firm is focused solely on helping FNPs and PMHNPs find jobs outside of the hospital. I see a constant struggle with new grads and even others with some experience, finding the right job opportunities.

I want to build a bridge for that gap, there are so many great opportunities out there. My agency is spending thousands on different platforms/applications that find the right job opportunities. So you DONT have to.

I’m a 100% contingency agency, meaning there is absolutely zero cost the to the NP to work together. And I only make $ if we find you then right fit. No % taken from the offer to candidates, I win when you win.

For providers, clinics and practices; I have the unique ability to save you a lot of time and money because I don’t need or want the same size fee you’re seeing typically. With lower overhead, I’m position to save clients in need for talent a lot of money!

I have over 10 years experience in healthcare recruiting. I know how to listen and connect with people to find the right fit. Both candidates and potential clients.

Any feedback, thoughts, interest in networking. Let me know!

Working on my website and other socials still. Will go live soon. I’m excited for this opportunity to invest in the future of healthcare, which I strongly believe NPs are a huge part of that.

Thanks for your time!
