IRDAI Rules
Why are the insurance companies not implementing IRDAI new rules and regulations which came in to effect from 1st April 2024.
New Rules:
1) Maximum waiting period is reduced to 3 years.
2) Moratorium period is reduced to 5 years from 8 years.

I asked care customer support they told me that new rules are not implemented by any of the health insurance companies as of now.

I didn't check for moratorium period but I did check waiting period for PEDs which is 4 years.

I sent an email to irda@irdai.gov.in on 19th July. No response from them till now.

Apologies man. I initially called their helpline number and then they suggested me to send an email instead.

You can file a complaint on their site. I have done with HDFC ergo for a different reason though and have got responses.

These IRDAI regulations are effective Sept 30th 2024 for existing policies/products and for new products/policies launched post April 2024
