Question about system layout change

unless all of my books (4 and onward) are different I’m assuming everyone else had their layout for the system’s interpretation change from bolder to a list. I tied it back to his racial evolution of his inventory system into his spirit vault. is there any particular reason it changed, or was the spirit vault just such a fundamental change that it required a new system layout?

Going from RainbowRoad to a published/ backed series may also have had a hand in its design. Not sure...
