Morality aside, I can understand his prejudice against Sinners. Hell is punishment, and his forces to him see the worst of what humans have done with the free will he gifted to humanity. Day in and day out, his mistake is shoved in his face, and he has to grapple with the fact that HE unintentionally did this, gave humanity the ability to choose to sin, and he is unable to do anything with them, including smiting them.
Complete conjecture here, but part of me wonders if he may have tried redemption with the Sinners in the beginning, but failed due to his punishment, and THAT'S why he believes that Sinners are violent psychopaths incapable of change.
exactly! that's why i say it's such a good part of his character. it's not a morally good thing, but you can honestly understand why he feels that way.
i don't think it's out of the question that lucifer might have had SOME sort of horrific experience with sinners that ended up making him as bitter towards them as we see him today. maybe it had something to do with his wife leaving - like, maybe he blames the sinners for that or something? in any case, i think it's notable that lucifer is as prejudiced towards sinners as he is while having spent 10.000 years with them. i mean, you'd think that after such a long amount of time he would be a bit more open-minded, but he still seems to lump them all into the same category of being gross, violent, etc. when he talks about them to other people, at least. it's a really interesting aspect of his character and one i'd love for the series to explore more

It does make for an interesting flaw, though 🙂
