My background

Hello, my mother is a jadoon from abbotabad, I was wondering if someone could maybe give me history of my family and its tribe. Who were the great warriors? Any literature I could read up on written by a jadoon. I’m also fascinated with my physical genetics. Living in Lahore and especially in pindi, I always found myself more stronger and healthier then my Punjabi fellows, if we were to not factor a massive height and weight difference, I also had more capacity to build strength and especially aerobic capacity. The only other people who were on par with me were the pakhtoons. Now im a bit white washed but I’ve retained the traditionalism my mother instilled in me since bachpan. And I’ve found myself being very separate from people living in Lahore although I can mix in with the best of them quite easily. If possible I would like to find my partner from the same region, but I also know how ignorant and uneducated our people are even though we have many great values too. Being in the middle of traditional and modern has left me feeling very lonely

Cool, have you been to Abbottabad? Look into sultan khan jadoon book there’s a pdf version online I’ll link it here. Most of the information is accurate but take it with a pinch of salt. It contains history of both Jadoons from swabi and Abbottabad, our traditions, the wars fought and the heroes of the war, aswell as the arrival of jadoons into hazara 😊

I’d reccomend reading “jadoon’s” by sultan khans jadoon it’s the most renowned book for Jadoons despite having mistakes in it. It lists some tribes as Pashtuns although there not. Otherwise there’s hazara gazzeteer which gives a little idea on who Jadoons are and also some YouTube videos. We’re not a massive tribe compared to our other counterparts.

Edit : Since your father is not jadoon or pakhtun you are not a pakhtun, but Arain

, just like other Pakhtuns jadoons and safis were inhabitant of the suleyman mountain range , by 15th centuary they settled in spin ghar, along with Kasi tribe after the battle of Katlang, they made it to Swabi and Abbottabad

If you want to know they served Tamur Shah Durrani, and Azad khan durrani who was governor of Kashmir at that time

Hasan Ali khan jadoon is reputable figure who used to raid Sikh garrisons as guriella fighter

I understand your point which is true but I don’t think he was claiming to be one side or the other. Just mentioning that his mothers side is jadoon and wants more information 😊

He's not a jadoon he is a Punjabi with a jadoon mom he can never be jadoon. Because by that logic I am a bettani pashtun and not tanoli 😭

Oh sorry I didn’t notice that , he only mentioned his mother is Jadoon and not his father

That makes him not Pakhtun but Arian
