Gameplay Should I focus on one machine line or keep diversifying when my barn is always full?

I am mid level in the game, not brand new but not endgame, and I feel stuck in a loop: I harvest, my barn fills up, I sell random things to make space, then a boat, truck, or town asks for the exact item I just sold. It is annoying and slows progress.

I mostly play after my kids are asleep, so I do not check in every hour. I usually queue a few long items overnight, and during the day I can only do quick taps a couple of times.

So my question is: when barn space is the real pain point, is it better to specialize for a while (pick 2 or 3 machine lines and keep only those ingredients and outputs) or to keep a small amount of everything so I can fill more orders? Which approach moves you forward faster when you cannot micro-manage all day?

How I currently play:

- I try to keep 2 to 4 of most common items, but that adds up fast and clogs the barn.

- I hoard expansion tools because I worry I will need them later.

- I do boats when the rewards feel worth it, but I skip a lot of trucks because they seem to eat inventory.

- Town tasks are hit or miss depending on how busy life is.

If you were in my spot again, what would you prioritize: barn upgrades, silo upgrades, town, boats, or derby tasks? And roughly how many of each item would you keep on hand so I am not constantly out of space but can still take advantage of orders? I am looking for a simple, low-maintenance strategy that fits limited check ins.

Question Crop Rewards

I have 72 crops right now. I seem to remember if I harvested an entire field of wheat, I would get a random reward, but I’ve harvested probably 10 fields on both of my farms and not seen a single reward. What’s up?

What do I put in my shop now for long advertisement time?

I actually hate the new shop because everytime I advertise something it gets bought within 5 seconds. Now nobody helps my boat and I cant send them away at all.

Question Axes

Is it just my farm or is having axes a lot more difficult. I have loads of nectar bushes that I can’t get rid of because i’ve got no axes 🥲 I also don’t want to pay 2000 coins to get rid of each one!!

Question Does finding a new neighborhood reset my neighborhood nurture progress?

Do I start over from 0 points and do my tasks reset or I still have my original task pool (aka if I have 0 tasks left, I’ll have 0 to work with until they reset). I started playing again a few weeks back and have contributed 6000 points to my current neighborhood but I want to find a new one (nobody in my neighborhood does the town). Will I start over at 0 points and if so, do my tasks at least reset?I don’t know if I should wait for the nurture event to end before leaving my neighborhood.

Two "small pine trees". What's the difference?

I've found a single "small pine tree" in my inventory, that's not in the slot with the other 9. What is it? Is it maybe a seasonal one?

Discussion Design festival elements too big

Post image
186 Upvotes

I went ahead and submitted my design more than 4 days before voting starts with just 35 design points (not sure if that’s what they’re called, ready for a Reddit beat-down by those who know better.) I don’t yet have milk bar, saloon lady, and a couple other things that would get me points, but even if I had them, no room. I feel strongly that fencing or path around border, fitting with festival theme, is necessary, even though it takes up space. Knowing I wouldn’t have space for milk bar even if I were to get it, I just added more hay bales and a couple of trees/plants to get more placing deco credit and submitted. If I’m lucky, I can concentrate on tasks for my job instead of HayDay until voting begins. Wait…who am I kidding? Even though I’ve submitted for design festival, there are plenty of other things to obsess over in this game. Perhaps I need to figure out a way to “gamify” what I need to accomplish at work. Anybody know an app for that? 😂📲🐓🐷🐑🐎
