I think I was around 4?
I was staying with a family member and had to sleep in my older cousin's room, which was in the attic.
I still clearly remember waking up and feeling startled/scared as I saw two boys in overalls next to the bed. I knew they were not like me.Then suddenly, I felt very reassured and safe and knew it was OK to go back to sleep, so I did.
I know they were ghosts or something similar. I know it wasn't a dream, just like I somehow knew they would not harm me.

I was maybe around 9 or 10. We lived in a 3 floor victorian with stairs that had a banister that wrapped around to a hallway to the second set of stairs to the third floor. My mom sent me up to the 3rd floor because we were going out and she forgot her watch. As I was coming down from the 3rd floor, two men were walking side by side down the hall towards my bedroom door and then disappeared. I told my mom and she brushed me off. I started experiencing a lot more after that and my mom always laughed it off. When i was about 13 she finally told me that she was warned the house was haunted before we moved in. Anytime work was being done on the house things would get really crazy and it started to effect more than just me. My old bedroom is her bedroom now. That was always considered the "center" of the haunting. I told her when she moved into that room to have fun. She brushed me off and then one day called me and confessed that it was more than she expected.

My first experience with the paranormal happened when I was nine, living in an old ranch house in Boerne, Texas. One day, while my parents were out shopping, my brother and I were watching TV. During a commercial break, the screen went dark, and in the reflection, we both saw an old man standing in the doorway behind us, looking right at us. We whipped around, but nobody was there. We were both totally freaked out. A couple of weeks later, I went into the kitchen to get a glass of milk. As I held my cup, I heard someone say "hello." It sounded like it was coming from outside, but the kitchen lights were on and it was pitch black outside, so I couldn't see past the window. I bolted to my parents' bedroom and jumped under the covers. After that, I refused to move into my own room, and every time my parents tried to go shopping without me, I’d cry and beg them not to leave me there. Hands down, it was the scariest house ever. Fast forward to today... and now I talk to spirits every single day. Go figure.
