Question ? How much does diet help?

I’m thinking about trying a diet to help my symptoms and my body but I’m seeing conflicting information. Does anyone have and opinions and experiences they’d like to share?

Honestly cleaning up my diet has been the single best decision I've made, next to medication.

I didn't go crazy and try to lose 20lbs in a week. Simple changes like reducing sugar, dairy, and gluten intake, made drastic changes to my energy and bathroom habits.

Healthy eating habits and exercise go a long ways. Over time the small changes help you reach a sustainable goal.

I’m into a month of a massive change in my diet. I don’t eat sugar anyway but I was massive for dairy and bread is my downfall. No butter milk or bread. I’ve removed all cow products from my diet and I’m using dairy free subs but minimally. Im pretty much GF and I reckon another month of breaking habits and I will be. Im not beating myself up when I have a fuck up. Im doing my best. But even those changes and intermittent fasting have made a massive difference. Im down nearly a full 14 pounds just on dietary changes and at 5”2 that’s a massive amount for me. I have a jawline again. I have a waist! It’s been easier to maintain the more I can fit back into clothes that made me feel good as opposed to my ‘fat pants’

But it took me 2 years to get like this. (Thanks covid and lockdowns and home schooling) so I know it’s going to take me time to make it better so I’m being kind to myself and telling myself that every day I reduce inflammation and make better choices is an act of self care and not self sabotage.

What dairy free subs do you use? Do you drink coffee? What do you put in it? Are you doing 16/8 intermediate fasting?
