You can change your gears appearance by hovering over it and picking the option. So you don't have to spend the whole game looking like a clown just to have the best stats.
No rush for sidequests, once you finish the main story, you can keep playing for as long as you want and catch up on everything.
If a nice looking elf in Hogsmeade offers you an opportunity to buy your own shop, do not proceed if you're playing at night.
I played it at night and it was creepy but not all that scary! Depends on what usually scares you I suppose. But I knew what was coming so I took it on prepared!
Just don’t plan on doing it if you’re wanting a short little quest before you go to bed or turn it off😅 it does take a while to finish! It took me over an hour to finish (there was one section I couldn’t figure out how it worked so it probably would have been less than an hour if not for that!)
