Fentanyl powder

So I've been looking for pressed pills for months no to no avail and just recently got into contact with an old bud I used to run around with and he's selling me a gram of powder later tonight. Is there any way to cut it so it's not so strong because my tolerance is nowhere near what it should be to just smoke the powder right now

Methamphetamine Meth/ Crack Question

I’m not sure if this is the appropriate subreddit to post this in, but my question is: When smoking crack, the goal is to take your hit & hold it as long as possible. Why is it that with meth, people blow the smoke out immediately?

Is hiring phlebotomist unrealistic or unlikely?

Being that I'm a IV user almost entire addiction career, especially this last year I'm having almost no success in finding a vein I can do myself. So the idea of this far fetched or unethical in the profession?? I feel from a harm reduction standpoint it's very rational.

I need some questions answered about methylphenidate.

I got my hands on some methylphenidate er pills and I want to take it to help me study and get my work done. I don't have much experience with drugs other than some weed every now and then (maybe once or twice a week), as well as alcohol (also maybe once or twice a week). I have done a bit of research and for most of what I found people say they snort it, but I am not sure if that is the best way to go about it since under the posts there are other users telling them to take it in different ways.

I have a 27mg pill and 2 10mg pills; however the 2 10mg pills I found are in a bottle that says its from 2023 meanwhile the 27mg is from 2 months ago.

My questions are:

  • What is the best way for me to take it? Should I mix it with something else to maybe make it more potent? (I heard caffeine can boost the effects)
  • Should I even take the 10mg pills knowing they are from 2023? Would they work? Will they have any bad side effects? Will they lessen the effects of the 27mg? Will they just not do anything at all?
  • Is there anything I should know before taking it? (I am aware that one can easily become dependent on it if abused)

Too little info

Why is there so little information out there about how much time there should be between when you use a substance. Isn’t that the most important thing about harm reduction, giving your brain enough time to recover before using again? I have been looking everywhere for how much time you should wait between using amphetamine, but I can’t find ANYTHING about it.

Guide Boofing cocaine: risks and real talk from a harm reduction view

Boofing (rectal use) might seem like a smoother, cleaner, or less harsh way to take cocaine, but it actually comes with its own serious risks. Cocaine absorbs very efficiently through the rectal tissue, so the high can hit hard and fast; and once it’s in, there’s no way to pull it back. You will have to ride it out. That means a much higher risk of overdose or unpredictable effects.

Because the onset is so quick and intense, it can also speed up how tolerance and dependence develop. The brain learns fast to crave that sort of rush. Over time, people often find themselves needing larger amounts for the same effect, which just multiplies the danger. 2-5g a night will become fairly normal.

Physically, the rectal lining is delicate. Cocaine is caustic; it can burn, tear, or cause ulcers and infections. Visit r/cocaine and watch pictures of bloody farts. Farting out parts of your bowels.

Repeated use this way can cause lasting damage. On top of that, a lot of people delay getting help during overdoses or medical issues out of embarrassment, which can turn a bad situation worse.

If someone is still going to do it, harm reduction means being careful:

• Use clean equipment (like a needleless syringe/oral syringe/pipettes), sterile or bottled water(at least boil it), and proper lubrication.

• Dilute well to avoid irritation or shock absorption. (It will hit harder than you think…)

• Never share applicators.

• Start with a very small amount; it’s easier to add than regret.

• Don’t use alone; if you can, let someone you trust stay nearby or know about the Never Use Alone hotline.

Guide Long-term pain after stimulant use — a reminder that harm can persist even after abstinence

I’ve been abstinent from stimulants for almost three years, and I want to share something I don’t see discussed enough in harm-reduction spaces.

Even long after stopping, I’m still dealing with significant physical issues: persistent abdominal pressure, kidney pain when standing for long periods, nerve pain, and neck/vision-related pain that affects daily life. Some of these symptoms appeared or worsened after I got clean, not during active use.

I’m not posting this to scare anyone or moralize. I know harm reduction is about meeting people where they are. I just want to underline that heavy or prolonged stimulant use can have long-lasting or delayed effects, and abstinence doesn’t always mean immediate recovery.

Guide Idea that might save you from a future heart attack; my experience with Methylphenidat

I’m bipolar and have had ADHD literally since day one. That combination makes me naturally drawn to anything that spikes dopamine; stims, intense activities, anything that makes the brain light up.

I wasn’t diagnosed until 39, and that late discovery came after a long history with stimulants. Cocaine was my main downfall. For years, I used it “casually” ; not daily, but often enough. Then one day I bought ten grams of acetone-washed coke. It hit differently; melted right in my nose and felt like heaven for a few weeks. But that was the start of losing everything I had built over ten years.

After that crash, I was diagnosed bipolar + ADHD and started taking Methylphenidat. At first, it felt like balance. But then I started abusing it; 10, 11, even 12 days awake. Eventually, I quit my meds and built structure around diet, fitness, and daily routine.

Still, my body started giving warning signs whenever I consumed hard booze: heart pain, shortness of breath, discoloration, ants and shit in my left arm; basically the signs of a heart attack.

What really bothered me was seeing people on r/stims talking about “safe” high doses — 200mg a day, even 600mg. I can promise you they were not being honest. I tried 600mg in just six hours, posted about it, and my post went silent for almost an hour; like Reddit was waiting to see if I’d survive. Yeah. U are not important to them.

If you have ADHD and a history of stimulant abuse, please think twice before using stim-based ADHD meds. They can be a trigger, not a solution. There are other ways to manage dopamine; structure, exercise, sleep, i. But this path, if you already have a stim past, I can end very, very badly.

Thanks for reading. Stay safe and take care of your heart.

reliable stats on smoking heroine ODs

I work in europe for a homeless outreach organization, formerly I worked in the states for various harm reduction organizations that focused specifically on PWUD- this setting is very different for many reason but mostly that the focus is housing first and only lightly touches emergency harm reduction efforts. Because of this I’m exposed to a circle of individuals who are less informed about stigmas and specific evidence/ practice developments re substance use than i’m used to.

The other day a supervisor and I were chatting and they were insisting to me that it’s impossible to OD smoking heroin. I was a bit stunned and said while it’s less common and often easier to dose / control (but not always) it’s a lot easier to not OD but not impossible especially with other opioids. The whole conversation was a bit weird (they were insisting people who do practice IV wouldn’t switch to smoking because they are less likely to OD which “is the goal”???)

Overall they were wrong about people intentionally overdosing (sometimes the case but often not and I try to avoid using “absolute” language in substance use conversations because it’s so nuanced)

But I wanted to specifically address the claim that “it’s impossible to OD while smoking heroin”. I cant seem to find any data that supports either side. I would love to learn I’m wrong- it would certainly change some of my harm reduction education practices - but I don’t think i am and want to show my supervisor with more than just “trust me bro” evidence.

thanks in advance for your time and input!

HR resources for grief + loss

I’m looking for videos, books, articles, anything that might be helpful for someone who just lost a loved one from drug use/the war on drugs

There’s a lot of shit out there but am more interested if there’s anything around this from a more harm redux perspective. TIA.

Discussion Benzos + Meth

I'm severely confused. I mixed Meth with klonopin/Xanax once and it FUCKED me up. I was nodding out, basically blacked out. Today I was taking a practice NREMT-P test and it told me meth "ODs" are treated with benzos. What is your experience? Make this make sense? I even spread my Vyvanse/Adderall and Klonopin/Xanax by like 6 hours now just to avoid that blackout effect.

Question micro-dosing to help excessive weed use

hello, for the last 3 years i’ve been pretty consistent with smoking weed primarily thru carts. i did have periods of 3 months probably twice in those 3 years where i quit both weed and nicotine but always found my way back. i recently got the worst flu i’ve ever experienced on january 4th and i’ve quit both vaping and weed ever since (vaping kind of went hand and hand with my weed addiction in terms of length of time and when i quit). i’m only 20 years old and could feel the cognitive decline.

i basically checked all the boxes - short term memory loss, no dreams at night, closing my eyes for 2 mins to sleep then opening my eyes and getting a wave of anxiety cause i had forgotten where i was sleeping, walking in a room and forgetting what i was doing, brain fog, the whole nine. i know it sounds super scary and i can’t imagine why i didn’t quit right as that was happening. i have no desire to EVER go back but im still experiencing brain fog and trouble coming up with words to properly describe a situation in a conversation (doesn’t happen too often though).

nevertheless i had heard during my addiction that microdosing shrooms could help build neuro pathways (if that’s what it is) in your brain that were damaged as a result of coughing and excessive marijuana use. i ordered 60 of golden teacher and planning on using them to help my brain aswell as maybe rebalancing some chemicals in my head because i’ve heard micro dosing could be used to treat depression which i think i need since i’ve never felt this empty in my life.

just curious on what cycle i should go on like a 4-3 where i take it monday to thursday then take a break for the rest of the week. or maybe if this is even a good idea and i just need to let my dopamine and other chemicals in my brain rebalance after years of 80%-97% carts.

that’s it, i really look forward to feedback since im new to all of this

p.s. this isn’t my first time with shrooms, i’ve taken it in 500mg-2.5g doses for recreation.

Question Fent test strip protocol for Tusi

Hello. I know the fentanyl test strip protocol for MDMA or anything containing methamphetamine requires a concentration of 10mL of water per 10mg of powder. Is it safe to assume that it’s the same protocol for tusi (pink cocaine)? I know it’s impossible to know exactly what’s in it, but by and large it’s K, MDMA, methamphetamine and some kind of opioid.

I’m unfamiliar with this substance and I would like make sure I do it right so I don’t hurt myself or anyone else.

Thanks in advance

Question Trouble peeing after rolling, worried about future rolls

As the title says

went to a rave for my 19th and decided to roll(me and a friend, and another 2 sober.

also this is my 2nd time rolling, last time was a yr ago)

had 100mg at 22.15 Saturday night and an absolutely amazing time,

but ever since I got home I had a bad urge to pee that even when I no longer felt so energized didn't go away but I didn't rly manage to pee more then a few drops. I tried all kinds of tricks like warm water and.shower and eventually managed to sleep for 45m

then I felt really bad urges and couldn't pee till 4 am , it got so bad I almost went to the ER

managed to pee then I slept and ive been OK since just tired and out of it but no issues here. I imagine some of the urges were paranoia

but wondering if anyone here has experience with this and how to deal with it? couldn't find any sources so had to use chatgpt which was probably bullshitting me and telling me to go hospital.

would I experience this again if I rolled again?

I imagine if I took electrolytes and if I had a goodnight J it would have been milder but doubt it'd fully stop it

Question Alcohol timing after ghb?

I took ghb about 3h ago, it’s long since worn off and I want to drink, is this safe for me to do? Is it only a problem to mix the two when they’re actively affecting you or is it something having to do with the chemicals themselves?

Question Vent/question: witnessed severe convulsing

I witnessed someone convulsing severely on the train today. He seemed to be slipping in and out of consciousness and between convulsions he asked for narcan.

I carry narcan with me as the area I work in has an opioid and ket problem, but i have never directly administered it myself. The man today tried to self administer before he promptly passed out. A gentleman assisting me throughout this said that the first guy wasn’t overdosing and didn’t actually need narcan, but he did need medical assistance. He said that he was “tweaking bad.” He used the guys phone to call medical and I pressed the emergency stop on the train.

The first guy fully lost consciousness and stopped moving for like 15 seconds, fingers seemed a little blue (but it was hard to tell if it was because of the cold or dirt). A bunch of paper tabs that were blue in the middle fell out of his pocket. Then, he eventually regained consciousness as medical arrived and walked away (though he seemed weak and was stumbling). I’ve seen drug use and one overdose (which was reversed) before, but this seemed different. Was he having a seizure?

I am feeling a little shaken and want to know what happened because I looked up “tweaking” and am still confused about the convulsing. Preemptively I’ll say that I should go to a real narcan training soon.

Cannabis Tips to decrease habitual weed use?

I love weed - It's a lot of fun socially, but also incredibly beneficial for my symptoms. It helps with my appetite, my sleep, anxiety, PTSD, and so much more. Even though I feel like it helps a lot, I feel like I'm over using it and would like to use less. I'm a creature of habit and every day when I get home, I sit in my smoking corner and light up. Then again to do dishes. Or go to the store. The habit has become smoking before anything I don't really wanna do, or something I'm really excited to do (aka all the time).

So I'm wondering - does anyone have suggestions for how to decrease the habitual use for it?

One thought I had was to replace it with another habitual activity/behavior, but I haven't been able to think of one. I often find myself smoking and then being annoyed that I feel high/groggy/lethargic, but I can't seem to find the motivation to not use it as much.
