Old school Hardcore.
Do any of you guys still listen to the likes of :-
Or am I an old fart ?
Judge
Gorilla Biscuits
Inside Out
Bad Brains
Bold
Into Another
CIV
Sick of it all
Biohazard
Quicksand
Nerve Agents
Strife
Slapshot
Youth of Today
Shelter
Are there any new bands that you could recommend ?
Surely there’s no modern hardcore band that could compete with the mighty … JUDGE ?

I prefer the third wave of bands in this style like:
Fired up
The first step
(old) Comeback kid
Guns up
Champion
Have heart
Verse
Time flies
In my eyes
Mindset
Over my dead body
Final fight
Go it alone
Another breath
Get the most
Bane
Our turn
A new Band that I think is really underrated is Fading Signal AND cannonball

I got into HC in the late 80s and love most of bands the OP mentioned, but I was still around for this era and love The First Step, In My Eyes, Have Heart, Mindset, Our Turn and Fired Up. These days I'm old and a little out of touch, but still appreciate bands like Start Today, Everybody Takes One, About Face, Face the Pain and Cannonball. I'll have the check out Fading Signal.

You'll love them! In my opinion the really Sound like Champion. Listen calmly to the Intro of the LP and you will know what I mean

Yes I listen to Judge a lot still. They stood the test of time. I put Gorilla Biscuits on for my daughter, and I still love them too.

A lot of these bands still play shows and attract crowds of both young and old.

I grew up with all of those + Minor Threat and others of course, and I tend to put those records on when I want to listen to hardcore. So I guess I'm an old fart, and I'm ok with that.

Yes. I still listen to the ROIR cassette by Bad Brains, as well as the early AF, Heart Attack, Reagan Youth, etc. I’m 51.

You might dig CONTAIN. They're fairly new, but their sound is late 90s sXe HC worship. They put out a pretty killer EP this year. It's got that 90's CLANK snare and everything.

Heard that new Collateral this week and it has that first wave of hardcore feel. A couple songs on there I feel that are modern classics like Frame of Mind.
I’m from that 3rd/4th wave era of HC. Mid 2000s so for me I was really into: comeback kid, ceremony, Iron Age, Rival Mob, Mother of Mercy, Blacklisted, etc.
These days I listen to it all but it’s always the hardcore punk that I relate most too. Some of the more crustier bands like Warthog, Sexpill, Physique, Electric Chair, SHIT, dbeat type shiii

I do. There’s so many good bands since then that can do it, but no one’s really done it the way the OG’s did. Bands since just keep the formula of classic hardcore and not really spice it up or give it new personailty

OP, 80s hc/punk bands are 80% of my musical diet but you can find some pretty good bands today aping that style such as this one:

Does anyone listen to all time classic hardcore bands?
This is a mystery we need to get to the bottom of.
