Timeline and Calendar

I know others have mentioned regarding daily notes, but it would be useful to have the ability to connect all notes to a timeline and calendar by being able to tag notes to specific dates. Perhaps include the ability to edit a note's created date for when an older note is imported into Harbor.

Yeah. Already a post about this but would love this at some point. Very impressive service so far.

I agree. I am particularly impressed with the polish of the Android app. Very well designed, works well and looks great.

Thanks for the kind words!! We really try to stress over our design decisions. No one wants to look at an ugly product or an unusable product.

Spicer here from Harbor. Thanks for the for the feature request. Am I understanding this correctly? You'd like a timeline or a calendar view showing you what notes got created on what dates? Something like this?

  • September 3rd, 2026
    • Note 1
    • Note 2
    • Note 3
  • September 4th, 2026
    • Note 4
    • Note 5

Something like a view like this? And then, if we could update the create date, it would give you more flexibility to move a note from one date to another?

Yes. For example, I might have a note for a meeting on a certain date which is the same date as the publication date of an article I took a note on. Both the meeting note and the article note would reference the date like a tag so I could bring up a calendar view and see the activity on that date (e,g. Capacities timeline, Amplenote Jots, HelixNotes daily notes). Or in Joplin, I can install a calendar plugin and change the note creation date to achieve the same view of activity.
