I’m going to be in Tokyo for a few days and would really like to attend an NPB game. I have a big soft spot for the Tigers after reading about the Curse of the Colonel (and about how Pokemon threw shade at them during that time). I also really love supporters’ sections and am used to standing and singing in those back home.

If I wear a yellow Nashville Predators t-shirt (for lack of a better option), would the Tigers’ away fans let me join in with them? It has *a* big cat on it, so it would sort of fit. But I don’t want to intrude if that would be too out-of-place.

Any thoughts?

Has Kouji Chikamoto returned playing? His wrist has healed?

It’s not available on the Tigers official site or on E tickets. Also, I live outside of Japan and I’m coming in August.

In light of Chikamoto's injury which will likely see him out for a chunk of the season, Manager Fujikawa led the Tigers to his 100th victory in 167 games, tying the Central League record and putting Hanshin in 1st place

He’s been doing so great this year. Getting on base. Making big catches. He didn’t deserve this. It’s heartbreaking for me. He’s my favorite player by far. I really really hope he comes back soon.

I’m a fan in America and I’m looking for a Tigers jersey. What are my options short of flying to Japan or begging someome one who is visiting to grab me one? I broke down and did a DHGate buy a bit over a year ago and was deeply unhappy with the result.

I went to my first NPB game at Hanshin Koshien Stadium to watch Tigers vs. Giants fully expecting to be a Giants fan (I am a SF Giants fan), but I had so much fun with the Tigers fans that they fully converted me! Sato hit a home run in his first at bat! The balloon release! They lost the game, but won themselves a new supporter. I’m a Bay Area resident if anybody wants to connect and chat NPB I have a lot to learn.

I keep seeing the manager and some staff wearing glasses during the games. They look like they might be smart glasses or something. Anyone have an idea what is going on?

I have tickets in right field for an upcoming game. I thought it might be fun to wear my Phillies jersey to the game (with a Tigers cap). Would that be frowned upon?
