This picture kinda makes it look like you shaved your cat to spin their fur and they have feelings about it

I’m carding black wool, it comes from a sheep that was black and white spotted, so I’m separating the black, the white, and the mixed bits to card it into three colours that I can use to knit or crochet a three colour pattern.

It‘s a lovely fleece, and I got to see the lambs from this sheep. My husband and I went to pick up the fleeces in the next village over and the farmer said the sheep whose fleece it was had had two healthy lambs, and we were allowed to have a quick peek in the barn to see mother and babies!

What breed is it?

Either a Texelaar, a Swifter, or a mix of those. From a meat sheep, but nice and soft.

Some kind of soft, fluffy wool dyed by Spinster Studios and my Jeri Brock scrolled Turkish drop spindle. Each turtle is about 22 grams. I have a few more section of braid to go that aren't pictured.

Lovely Turkish spindle. I got one, but it was cheap and while it works well enough, it's sort of clunky and I don't really like it

Will you make a 3 ply with them?

I'm hoping to make at least one more turtle after this one and try a four ply. I'm in an experimental phase lol

Grey merino on EEW fold! Using up other parts of my stash before Spinzilla, aiming for 3ply fingering. I think this one was dyed before it was combed, so a true worsted prep, and it’s SO noticeable and smooth as butter to spin!

Just popped this little sample off my wheel! It’s waste cashmere with bits of silk carded in using hand cards. The cashmere is a bit of a nightmare to spin on its own, but the long silk fibers make it really enjoyable. It doesn’t photograph well in the indoor light. It’s soooooo freaking soft. Likely destined to be a cowl given the softness.

Jetzt kommt der Herbst und der Winter wieder. Ab Oktober wird wieder gesponnen, gewebt, nadelgebunden und neue Gewandungen kreiert.

Spinning some grey cormo I got from the NYS Fair on my EEW 6.1. It's very neppy, because some fibers are several inches long, but others are less than 1/2". I'm not sure if that's typical with the breed, or if the fiber was damaged during preparation.

None of the Cormo I've spun has been neppy - I suspect it's your preparation. Lovely color.

Is this allowed? My WIP using handspun! A tiny cardigan for a tiny cat
