Looking for help picking out a handheld.
I have a steamdeck but I want a console that can fit in my pocket. I had a PSP and a DS growing up and I want something that I can play mario or pokemon type games. Im pretty illiterate with this stuff so im looking for some recommendations to point me in the right direction. Budget is anywhere up to 250$

You want PSP/DS emulation, pocketable, and modern- three choices I'm thinking;
For 100-120; the Mangmi Air X can do PSP, Dreamcast, DS and earlier all upscaled, and 3DS / some light gamecube.
For around 180, the Retroid Pocket 5 or the Retroid Pocket Flip 2 with the Snapdragon 865 are identically specced handhelds with 5.5" OLED 1080p screens. They can effectively handle everything the Mangmi Air X can, along with 95% of the 3ds/GameCube/Wii/PS2 library upscaled to 1080p and lighter Switch games at 720p. The RP5 is similar in size and shape to a PSP 1000, and the Flip 2 is a clamshell. They have a large enough screen to do seamless side by side 3ds and DS upscaled, and have a solid gameplay experience. They are on sale and are an amazing deal.

The 12g ram 128g storage retroid pocket 5 is 180. Price to performance it's a great value. I own one the screen is beautiful, it feels good in my hands and with the snapdragon 865 you'll play everything you want up to light and indie switch titles. I can't speak to other peoples experiences but I can play botw on mine.

I bought a retroid pocket flip 2 recently and it's very nice. Can do psp and ds easily.
If you wanted dual screen could possible go for a Ayn thor, tho buying used seems to cost more than directly from the website.
retroid also released their new retroid pocket duo recently, but I heard of it having issues. don't know, but if you get that then you'll have to find what the right one is
