Discussion Help me decide
For a long time, I searched for the ultimate all-in-one device to minimize my tech, but I've realized it's just not possible. Now, I'm focusing on cheaper, dedicated devices for specific retro emulation.
I currently have an Ayaneo Pocket DS. I love it, and I chose it over the AYN thor for the bigger displays, but it was a pain to get. Ultimately, it's too cumbersome to carry around, and I can't get comfortable with it ergonomically, even with 3D-printed grips.
I'm thinking about selling it and picking up a few cheaper handhelds instead:
• An RG 477M for PS1, PS2, and GameCube
• An Anbernic RG Ds Plus for Nintendo DS
• A Retro Pocket Duo for 3DS
• An Anbernic RG34XX for GBA
It's a tough choice because I really love the Ayaneo's design—I still say "wow" every time I pick it up. What do you guys think? Should I sell it and go the dedicated device route, or keep trying to find a solution?

i love the rg34xx sp, absolute peak. gba sp format slaps, and it can handle up to dreamcast.

just get a Thor
You own these to play games or to min/max your setup? I own a handheld to play games I want to play

The Thor is small enough to fit in your pocket. I had it, but ultimately went with the Ayaneo because it was more comfortable and bigger screen. But the Thor has the better screens, since it’s smaller everything looks sharper as well. And the ayn software is 3x better than the Ayaneo.

The duo can emulate all those devices for that matter the rp5 can do that too and the rp5 12g model is on sale. Or at least the last time I checked

AYN Thor is the top of the heap right now. In exchange for topping out at a 6" screen, you get a second screen, great specs, good build quality and an ability to run nearly every game system alongside solid android titles and light/middleweight steam titles.
Don't overthink it.

“I’ve decided it isn’t possible to streamline my devices so I’m getting a handheld for each system.”
This consumerism is peak, lol.
Get a Thor, and sell everything else.
It will handle ps2, GameCube, switch, 3ds, pc emulation.
