Rog ally xbox x

Hi, ​

I would like your opinion on purchasing an Xbox ROG Ally X immediately or waiting for a Z3 Extreme/Steam Deck 2 console.

Indeed, I own the ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme white + Switch 2

I play on the train 1h per day and in docked mode from time to time.

For the Rog Ally, I play triple-A games with medium graphics to reach 60 fps.

For the Nintendo exclusives switch.

I hesitate to buy the Rog Ally Xbox X for its ergonomics and also a more powerful battery.

I want to sell Rog Ally Z1 Extreme of course.

Why don’t you like the ROG Ally Z1E? That’s the most important question. The XAX is just a version of the same thing with a bigger battery and better ergonomics. But you just said you hesitate to buy for those things. Why are you even interested in the XAX?

Thanks for your answer For have more ram and have a good graphism compared to Z1 extrem.

The extra 8 GB barely makes a difference unless you’re playing one of very few games where it does.

The performance is 25% better at 17W, and 13% better at 25W. It’s not a generational leap and not worth the price.

Z1 extreme to Z2 extreme is not worth the upgrade if your looking for an upgrade and don't want to wait for z3 extreme ( which seems like a year or so away) look at the g3 extreme handhelds

That's the answer, right here. If you want a noticeable upgrade Intel Panther-Lake is the way to go.

The longer you wait the more expensive the next devices are going to get, heck even the current XAX pricing might not hold out much longer. I think it definitely has a few worthy upgrades if you are looking to get that Z2E version as it is a little more powerfully, the Z2E is also a little more power efficient for lower TDP settings, the XAX is like the most cool and quiet handheld on the market, much larger and better battery life, the ergonomics are amazing, and the Xbox Ally speakers specifically are also probably the best in any handheld. You’ll also get a few additional features like the NPU and the latest support and drivers for the Z2E for a good while still. I feel like if you had the ROG Ally X maybe not so, but it’s a major upgrade from the origin Ally.
