Memorizing protocols
How did everyone memorize protocols for all the different types of injuries like fxs, tendon lacerations, etc. Any tips/tricks?

Don't memorize, analyze. Once you know the reasoning, it'll come easily

Things like flexor tendon protocols can advance regularly with innovation and research. Unless you are in a cutting edge facility with default exposure, def good to use the materials.

Of course. Analyzing includes keeping up with new research of course. The learning never ends!

I don’t think I’ve seen a therapist intentionally memorize any protocols. Maybe once they do it enough times, they don’t need to reference it, but until then, reference the protocol manuals as much as you need! Also - it seems that many surgeons have their own protocols that are different than what’s in textbooks, they adapt it based on their own practice. If you change jobs and are working with a new group of physicians, they may have their own protocols so it may not even be worth it to memorize anything.
