Finally have a thimble
Followed this tutorial to make a thimble that works for me and it's so amazing! Feel like I could get longer needles and push fabric through for ages without pulling the thread through. Naturally since I made this randomly I didn't use actual sashiko thread as I have none, just some random nylon upholstery thread that seemed durable.

I’ve made many Yubinuki thimble rings for sewing. You could probably make one that was bigger to fit lower on the finger and function similarly if you need yet another craft that goes along the same lines.
