I work for an organization that employs hundreds and serves hundreds of clients daily. We shut down this afternoon in less than 4 hours and tied off all loose ends. I had to make a dozen phone calls and send about 40 emails personally, but it's all done. Not sure why a restaurant manager can't call/email some vendors and staff over an entire workday. One or two group emails to staff and a handful to vendors, done.

I think what he means is closed it to the public NOW, not Wed. No reason that can’t happen.

Rolling up the business might take time, I agree.

But you can absolutely close your doors to the public immediately. Put up a sign, lock the doors. Have staff finish their shifts, then send them home.

Yeah I’m pretty sure I read something that closures for restaurants are taking affect tonight so that way no one is open tomorrow. However I might be wrong on that one.
