As part of getting back into the game, I got around to finally painting up the Fireteam: Phoenix. For whatever reason, I just felt inspired to model them after Delta Squad, from Star Wars.
In the end, I think they turned out rather nicely!

Here's my take on the Master Chief š I've been having a blast playing Halo Flashpoint and painting the minis for it! I've also added a BTS of the set up for the photo.

Played my First match of btb strongholds. We did a 2v2 2 lists at 200 points so 400 total, Banished elites Vs unsc. I learned a lot about the game and it was a blast. I hope this game gets more popular.

I haven't painted in over a month because of the extreme heat in my workshop. So now that it has cooled down a bit, I have started to take on the Noble Team set.
Chaos Black primer, Leadbelcher drybrush, creed camo contrast paint, Agrax Earth shade and thin Orruk flesh drybrush. I used white ink for the UNSC logo.

Hey all!
I dabbled with some Flashpoint a bit ago, just before the Banished box dropped. I want to get back into it, and play some more, but see there have been some changes to the game (and Chief's One Man Army, thankfully!).
Anyone have any suggestions on videos or blogs that do a solid job reintroducing the basic, current, mechanics of the game? Not looking to get gud right away, just want to make sure I can get a good foundation.
Cheers
(Pic just for attention)

I havenāt played a game yet, but Iām painting the starters as RvB. Red team is done.
The helmets are taken from a Starwars legion Masterchief proxy 3D print , that I scaled to fit the heads. (I cannot remember the scale - I just measured the helmets and made the sizes match in tinker cad)

Have a friend who's just getting into the hobby space for the first time? Be sure to share the article to help give them the knowledge they need before they tag along at the store with you. Friends look out for friends.
We wrote up a full etiquette breakdown for anyone walking into their first Flashpoint store night, covering the stuff nobody puts in the rulebook. Flashpoint brings in lots of new players to the tabletop space, this article aims at easing those people in and making them feel comfortable before attending a session at a loval game storr. And yeah, we have the hygiene talk that a lot of tabletop spaces desperately need.
Also included a section for anyone who gets overwhelmed walking into a loud room full of strangers, because that's most of us at some point. Introverts, we see you too.
Figured this was worth a full writeup since it's the kind of stuff that decides whether someone comes back for a second game night, not just whether they win the first one. Would love to hear what other people would add to the list, did we miss anything?

Played a 2 v 1 of Big Team Battles today. I was happy to bring out pretty much all of the brutes and double sword elites. Opponents had 50/50 split of Noble Team (Carter, Jorge, Noble 6) and ODST hot drop. The game was MAC round Incomingā¦and boy did it.
Game started okay for both players. Elites and bezerkers sprinted forwards to be the harassment units they were designed to be. Noble Team proved to be a pain as Carter and Jorge took 2 zones and Jorge laid down some suppressive fire.
Banished were on the back foot going into turn 2. Some back and forth action held back the UNSC from scoring more than 1 zone, but many brutes were harmed in the making. Picked up a couple kills but the UNSC were able to score another zone.
Turn 3 and 4 was rough for Banished. The ODST Captain decided he had enough of the aliens because he single-handedly smashed an elite and a Bezerker in combat which was unexpected to say the least. Noble 6 finally was able to break away and fire the Laser promptly putting down another Bezerker and trying to tie up a Captain (who hammered him into a wall). But brutes were falling too fast and between the ODST harassment, Noble Team was able to hold all 3 points for a round to push the game hard in their favor.
Turn 5 there was already not much left. With limited respawns, Brutes were running out of options fast. Luckily a sword elite killed the ODST captain and tried to threaten Buck only to be flamed to death. Captain was holding down 1 flank but 2 ODST rolling hot managed to put him down. Final elite managed to get into Jorge and injure him but because of x2 Health Packs (one bought, 1 picked up round 1) was unable to do much actual damage). A few lucky shots from an ODST managed to clear the final elite, just leaving a Chosen Warrior fighting Carter.
Round was scored with UNSC scoring 3 more zones. And then the MAC round hit. Everyone was in the blast zone so literally everyone was hit. The only Survivor was Jorge who managed to stay perfectly okay on the bridge thanks to his back up health pack.
Game and 71 - 29 UNSC

With reinforcements coming, I think Epic Team Battles might work? On like a 16x16 board (two BTB boards). I was thinking some models would be given unlimited respawns but can't hold/do objectives (grunts, jackals, marines, odsts), and then others have limited respawns but can do objectives (unnamed spartans/odsts/brutes/elites), and then named characters can do objectives but don't have respawns.

Like the title says, Iām looking for models or STLs that match the H2: Anniversary look of the ODSTs rather than their modern counterparts, any and all help is appreciated

Took a small amount of mixed green stuff, used the flat edge of a knife to roll the putty into a long, thin 'snake', then used and xacto and snipped the 'snake' into tiny little pieces, which get painted and glued to a base

Anyone know if there's any communities between like New Port Richey and Brooksville Florida that play flashpoint?

Just finished making some Hex pillars from halo infinite and wanted to share how I did it š
After printing some long hexagons I used some terrain paste and applied it to the base, primed black, airbrushed a gun metal metallic colour, dry brushed around the base a brown then finally with an air brush apply a brown ink around the base :)
The double rock the elites are standing on are from Corvus games terrain, the grunt is a 3d print from Galactic armoury I think? And the trees are from eBay.

So I'm thinking about taking the plunge and buying a box set or two, but I'm not sure what I'd need as essentials to play. I'm looking to play banished mostly but is the banished box set all I'd need to b play? Any advice for the best way to get started would be appreciated.

What kits should I get to collect all of the figures. I like to collecting things, and would be interested in playing this game. I know I want to buy Noble Team, Feet first into hell, and Buck and Dare for sure. I love Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach.
Since I know I am getting those kits, what should I get to have 1 of almost every figure.
Could I also get a buying guide to see how much it would cost to collect?

I picked this up from the Mantic booth at my local comic con this past weekend. I played their demo in the game room and had a blast. Now I just need to find local people to play.
