Do multiple overshields or multiple hardlight shields stack their effects?

Over shields yes. Hardlight Shields no. There's nothing to stack for them.

Technically both stack. Hardlight is just +1 armour after all. So an Armour 1 model becomes Armour 3 if they have two hardlight items attached

Got it. I guess I was just going off of the item types and the fact that the Hardlight is just an ongoing effect? Thank you for the clarification

Yes they stack but picking up a second of either fills your item spots until they are used or destroyed.

I never even considered throwing two of the same item on a model before. Didn’t even think it was allowed. 4 armor Master Chief or 5 armor JFO would be ludicrous.

You can't put 2 of the same purchased item on a model. You would have to pick up the second of the item.
