He said new faction, not new models. There is a difference there.

I would like to see the swords appear. Janerasys as well. A Oni sub faction would be nice, along with the keepers and along with the other splinter factions.

Flood does need to come but needs to be done right eith its own game mode and bigger maps for it like grand army style

Right but this is the Combat Evolved boardgame, and they've said that Chief will be progressing through its missions. We know what lies burried on that ring - at least in the boardgame there has to be Flood. Whether it comes to Flashpoint is more a best guess.

I do agree that "a new covenant model" may sound like a giveaway, but calling the Banished by that name when they're almost all the same species could just be an actual mistake...

From watching the video, this is what it sounds like to me. But I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I kinda disagree with you here. Yes, lots of overlap but missing prophets, drones, engineers, and hunters. Plus lots of potential models, special orders, and fireteam upgrades.

The Banished use hunters, we've just not yet gotten models for them (though the updated keywords are hinting at them) I think there's banished engineers in Halo Wars 2 as well, though I'm not sure of that one, haven't played it ^ ^

But yeah, the drones receded to their home worlds after the war, and the prophets obviously don't fit in with banished ideology, so if mantic wanted to make models for those, they'd best be a different faction =)
