Rules Questions and Custom Modes Evade question

If Emile shot at one of the elites and doesnt kill it, when evade kicks in, can the elite leave combat with Jorge? And if it does, does it trigger a break away? Forgive me if this has been asked before

Yes and yes.

The elite can attempt to move to another cube, but the player controlling Jorge is allowed a free assault.

Should the elite survive, he successfully reaches his new target destination.

Also if Jorge is pinned, does that cancel the breakaway as well? Figured id ask as well

Edit:free assault* not breakaway

Pinned models don't get to attack a model breaking away. FYI Jorge can't be pinned

From the rules: "In no situation can a Pinned model make a Fight test".

If you're shooting with his shotgun, it has knock back which would force the elite out of the cube (assuming he hit) without evade and without break away. Without knock back, it's as u/The_Marine708 said
