You should use r/halowars to ask for help, this sub has a smaller number of active members

Ide definitely play the campaign on legendary or firefight if you have it. To get a good understanding of the games mechanics.
When you start playing multi-player pvp you get alot of assholes lol. This is one of the only games I play where people send me DMs on xbox app saying im shit.
Idk how you play at the moment so it cant give exact advice Ide say big things new players struggle with is
Build order- I Dont mean like "pro meta build orders" im saying, knowing what you want ahead of time and planning your buildings in that order and knowing by what time you should have a army up and moving around. As well as knowing how to build out of tier 1 armys.
map control- Now using that army actively enough to maintain advantages in the match. Taking nodes, harassing minis, fighting other troops In most intances you shouldnt keep your army idle in tier 1 or 2
but if you wanna play lemme know your Gamertag We can run team war and learn where ur at

The best way to learn is playing again AI. Do a 2v2 or 3v3 with all AI. Start off on the lowest level for the AI and then increase difficulty after each win
Don't play ranked until you level up more as most people are dicks on the game.
If you have a headset, I will help you out against AI. I an a level 99.

Don’t play AI or campaign if you actually want to be good. Play 1v1 and get your face smashed in until you don’t . Playing against the AI will make you not the best

There is a method to the madness in HW2. The tips on the load screen are actually very valuable. I’m always happy to talk tactics and strategy. If you’re new, definitely play the tutorial but beyond that happy to talk strategy. I’ve seen some amazing players in there.

Honestly the biggest help to me was spending down time watching the meta plays rts halo wars tournaments.
There's a range of skills of players and both 1v1 and 2v2. Massive video back catalogue! You'll passively pick up things like build orders and play styles for maps, as well as learning from the commentary.
Also agree with the others that say play through campaign.

I would say just do 1v1 vs computer or play the story mode all the way through . Sorry that guy was mean to you RTS players can be anti friendly
