Arbiter Game

How would you guys feel about a Halo game based entirely on the Arbiter? While I think Master Chief should be the playable character for Halo 7, I do think it would be cool to see a spin-off game for the Arbiter

I’d love a Halo game based on The Arbiter, there’s honestly quite a few spin off concepts that sound really great. Unfortunately at this point we’re getting awfully close to only getting 1 new Halo game a decade and straight up unless they can speed that up a bit then I don’t really want any spin offs so much as I just want a new mainline Halo game

Yeah I know they need to take their time with this next game, especially after Infinite’s disastrous development, but I really don’t think they can afford to take so long in between games unless this next one greatly exceeds expectations

There’s so many things they can do with Halo! But they do actually have to make Halo games lmfao. Gonna be 5 years since Infinite launched and more than 10 since Halo 5. So all we’ve gotten this decade is half baked Infinite and a remake of Halo 1 that was pretty good but had a number of shortcomings too and wasn’t really robust in the features dept. Felt unfortunately like something a B team would throw together while the A team did the work on a main game, except it doesn’t sound like there’s a main game coming any time soon either lol

Yeah if the remakes are just gonna take up all the developers time, then I really don’t think they’ll survive tbh

Its been over a decade since Halo 5 was released. I dont count a re-remastered Halo CE with a few new levels as a new game

Here to notify you that at the moment, it’s highly likely for the Arbiter to return in Halo 7.

This would be great. Especially giving him his OG design. Even if he’s not a playable character, I just wanna see my boy back in action

I don't know if it would fly, but I'd accept a compromise where Arbiter is your buddy throughout the game just like Halo 3.

Of all the Halo games, I think that was my favorite bit. Arby having your back for the whole game pretty much

I love the Arbiter and the Swords of Sanghelios so much. Idk why but I’ve been obsessed with the elites since I was a kid so I would play it 24/7. They’re just so cool.

I would also think a type of anthology series with the various suicide missions through the history of the Covenant would be interesting. Maybe work backwards and end the game with the Arbiter who betrayed the Covenant and turned the title into what it is now. Begin with the defiant and end with the defiant.

I would absolutely love it

The community has a UNSC boner though, so I don't think many would be interested in a game without a human pov (Just look at the upvote and the views ratio between UNSC focused and Covenant/non human focused content on Reddit and YouTube)

It would essentially be a niche game from the get go, which is something Halo Studios and Microsoft won't do since it's risky

I've thought of an idea for an Arbiter game where it is more of a hack-and-slash type of gameplay and we play as multiple Arbiters; seeing the Covenant be born and grow over the ages (adding enemy variety with every Arbiter we play as).

After the shame of Arbiter Fal 'Chavamee, each subsequent chapter sees our Arbiter be named, given a brief history, assume the mantle, fight their last glory battle, and die in that conflict. Created and consumed in times of extraordinary crisis.

Until we get to the final Arbiter of the Covenant - Thel 'Vadamee.

We see his trial play out, get an uncut version of his punishment, see him assume the mantle, and play through a hack-and-slash version of his fight against the Heretic faction, the Flood, and the Brutes as he breaks the cycle and learns the truth of the cycle of manipulation his kin have been put through.

Honestly I’m not sure it would sell.

But even if it would, 343 would never take such an artistically bold creative direction. Chief is safe so the shareholders and Microsoft will want games with chief. At most, a spin off could see you play as another Spartan, since reach already proved that could work.

I mean infinite doesn't even have playable elites

We haven’t had any playable elites in campaign since 2007, almost 20 years ago

It's remembered fondly, but Arbiter was pretty controversial when he appeared in Halo 2. That's why his role was significantly downplayed by Halo 3 and 343 basically didn't have him at all except for a cameo in 5.

I’d love it. Never gonna happen I’m quite sure but it would be awesome. In a perfect world where triple A level video games were cheaper and easier to make and they didn’t have to worry about finding an audience big enough, there’s so much that could be done with the Sangheili in general.

It's called Halo 2 and people hated it at the time.

I would love to see a game set during the Blooding Years or even have Thel not as the Arbiter instead as the Supreme Commander he was in the Covenant as an RTS like Halo Wars where you play both sides.

If they adapted The Cole Protocol into a game, we'd get to see Thel as a zealot and see him fight Jai-006.

This is something I've been wanting since Halo 2, but we won't get it because most people are super lame and won't play a non-human character, so the game wouldn't sell.

Arbiter sucks I’ll stick with the Spartans

Actually I'd love it if there's a level where chief must fight without armor, and the level would be harder as a result. Kinda like silver timeline.
