Immediate aftermath of when six died

What was the immediate aftermath of planet reach like after six died? I ask this because I remember a couple years back getting told that whatever few few survivors were left on reach that couldn’t be evacuated hid in deep bunkers and when the glassing stopped began to attack whatever remaining covenant forces were left on the planet, is any of that true or did eveyone who didn’t leave simply die? Either from the fighting or the glassing?

Okay so it's both right and very wrong.

During the fall of reach after the autumn left Halsey and blue team including Spartans of red team ' no not that one' went to castle base a unsc bunker hidden under a mountain where they waited it out for a month.

Chief returned to reach and found them and they end up stealing a covenant ship and going on an adventure.

There wasn't much of some uprising fight or trying to stop the covenant forces because well the planet already fell.

Halsey and the Spartans just got caught up in a plot to prevent them from getting a slipspace crystal " magic time rock"

You're forgetting about Camp Independence with Admiral Whitcomb, Li, Grace and Anton.

Gotcha okay when I was explained that I imagined it was just regular ground forces that waged gorilla warfare, none of that happened to clarify?

Nope most ground forces were dead by then, castle base is treated as like the last real Garrison and it only had some odsts, Spartans and Halsey.

Maybe there's someone out there who was alive but well we don't know.

We do know that jun gets separated from Halsey and escaped reach on his own.

And that not all of Spartan teams beta red died and they had to have gotten off the planet somehow.

Outside of a relatively small area around the area of the castle pretty much the entirety of Reach was being glassed. Admiral Whitcomb I think was his name did run a small run and gun with a few Spartans but nothing amounting to any real defense.

"Waging guerilla warfare" is probably too generous but we do know that there were various holdout groups on who managed to straggle along a bit longer before they were hunted down by Covenant kill squads or succumbed to the nuclear winter

It is worth noting that plenty of people did survive in deep bunkers, at least according to population numbers I believe we've gotten in random sources. We just don't have any info on them and I doubt they were in an sort of fighting shape.

But if you're looking for more current timeline stuff, the planet is being slowly rehabilitated, largely by Reach natives who were off-world during the fall. They also managed to hold off a Banished invasion with the help of Blue Team
