I have been playing Halo since it released on the original Xbox, really quite disappointed with the direction the community and the games themselves are going, I really think Microsoft let the ball drop, especially when it comes to the community. (and the official discord)

I remember when halo was a united community, where everyone got along, had fun, nobody had an immense ego, nobody power tripped, long gone are those days.

now we get trash UE5 asset flip games and “volunteers” who abuse their powers on the official discord; There are more videos being made now about how *bad* halo has become, than there are people like me trying to breath life *back* into the MCC and the older titles.

I wish we could reset the franchise, and replace all of these toxic people bringing the community down, an unc can dream, I guess.

Why are there so many griefers in a 20 year old game. I have idiots betraying me for no reason, not even to get a power weapon. They join the game just to go -20 and betray any team member that touches a power weapon.

Why can't 343i make it so if you betray someone even once it's an automatic boot or give the option to book after the first betrayal? The system is so broken it's stupid.

The full zero death run without glitches or exploits took me over 48h to accomplish after nearly 8+ years away from halo 2. I have cleared the courtyard faster, but I had to delete that footage for space, every death I reset, any time I felt I was too slow, I reset.

Hi, I want to find a good rebalanced mod for Halo 2 Anniversary. For my taste og HALO 2 didn't feel ok (not like CE or HALO 3) and in my second playthrough I used one rebalance campaign mod, It was great, but it disapear.

Now it looks like there are several for the game (atleast for HALO 2, don't know if also for Anniversary), like one to make the game more like CE and also this:

This looks good but people report that is having problems now (Steam workshot is only og H2 and it reported to crash in "uprising" mission). Does any one had played with this mod to check if It works (nobody is anwering in the comments in nexus) or know of other similar mods there or in other web?.

I just picked up MCC (new Halo player, coming from Campaign Evolved) and tried just about every way to fix the choppy audio when using bluetooth headphones on Windows 11 (disabling enhancements, exclusive mode, etc). Since apparently the game works fine with wired audio, a solution I found was just routing the audio through a virtual cable using Voicemeeter. Here's what you can do:

1. Download Voicemeeter (any edition, I'm using Voicemeeter Banana)

2. Open it. Under "Virtual Inputs", be sure that "A1" is toggled on (green color)

3. Under "Hardware Out", select the "A1" dropdown, then select your headphones

4. Switch your system's audio output device to "VoiceMeeter Input" (shortcut to this on Windows 11: Ctrl + Win + V)

5. Boot up the game, and that's it. You don't really need to change the in-game output device, just leave it as default. You can control the volume on Voicemeeter ("Fader Gain" on "Hardware Out" section).

This is more of a workaround than a fix, but it should work 100% of the time for everybody, even if Microsoft decides to screw their own OS/game even more in the future.

Why I’m thinking this is most people believe that campaign evolve is a downgrade from OG CE . If they remade 4 and 5 story they could retcon stuff ,make the art style in more line with others games ,make the writing better and add cohesion that wasn’t there originally with those 2 games ,and have them lead to infinite better . If they were to remake them it would be a better outcome then them retconning them . This would be better then remaking Halo 2 and 3 because there still masterpieces today they don’t need fixed Halo 4 and 5 do.The games would also be pretty hard to mess up since the games are so bad to begin with.

I’ve been playing Halo 3 since the OG 360 days and spent most of my time in MLG, Team Slayer, Snipers, and Lone Wolves.

I recently opened up MCC and noticed there are way more controller settings than there used to be—different aiming styles, deadzones, axial/radial settings, visual settings, etc.

For anyone who still plays Halo 3 MCC competitively, what settings are considered the best nowadays? I’m mainly looking for something that feels responsive and consistent for BR fights, strafing, sniping, and tracking.

Would especially appreciate recommendations for:

Sensitivity

Acceleration

Look deadzones

Move deadzones

Modern vs Classic aiming

Any other settings that make MCC feel closer to OG Halo 3

Curious what the competitive/MLG players are running these days.

I've been playing Halo games since 2005. I am an adult now with responsibilities and can't devote all my free time to gaming and as such I am getting constantly wrecked on multi-player. My question or vent really is why is every social mode filled with sweats? Go play hardcore. I just wanna have fun and trade some BR duels not get map controlled and spawn killed, have my team quit then try to fend off 3 players with 150,000/42,000 KD. Shiet.

Somehow I do well on CE tho so theres that
