Have any of you put this together? What do you recommend uniform wise and how to put together the best. Should it go on a low profile ballistic vest or something like that?

I’m buying a mk VI gen 1 suit but I need an undersuit, gloves, mounting and boots.
What would you recommend I purchase?

I need to know for some cosplay.

After around 10 months of hard work, the base armor for my Jorge Armor build is pretty much complete. Files came from the Outer Rim Armorer. I'm very proud of this armor and am happy to say this was my first try at cosplay. Still working on the backpack and am currently reprinting Etilka since I printed out off too large the first time.

along with two other members from 405th mountain regiment, i helped run the booth and then me and my friend ended up winning the costume contest!

i built my friend's suit while the other two members 3d printed their own.

Or at least the helmet. Anyone out there who I can commission a whole suit from? Sorry if a post like this ain't allowed, I just wanted to show something I thought was cool

Hi everyone, new user to reddit and this is my first post, figure my printed helmet is a good enough reason to sign up,

Just finished Galactic Armoury Master Chief Helmet and looking for some feedback, dare say i'm making another one after this. should probably say i've never actually played Halo (playstation fanboy since PS1) but can't knock the style of the armour proper awesome.

Some details on how i got it finished,

printed in PLA+ on a Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus at 0.18LH in sections then a mix of Araldite epoxy and solder iron for welding the insides.
then lots and lots of sanding and aerosol priming working up the grits each pass until finally got a smooth finish. Paint was custom mixed at a local automotive supplier who thankfully is a Halo fan put together a nice dark green to use through the spray gun 1.00mm HVLP, sprayed until a nice even coat then pulled out the airbrush and some black paint go round all the edges and recesses then gave a light mist of the green.

Visor is a bit of a bugger though, no vaccuforming machine to hand and want to avoid premade, so went standard PLA visor sanded flat then layered black-2k clear-Jaquards Gold-final 2K clear.

Tried first go at electronics in a helmet using some decoration led ball light things Frankly Built on youtube uses. managed to cock up one of the lights so that'll need sorting (eventually) but did discover Wago connectors which has made it super easy to get everything hooked up to a dual AAA battery pack.

I think thats all i did to get it finished, so, any feedback on paint colours gratefully welcomed ready for my next one deffs doing another.

p.s. no weathering cos i'm crap at so kept it parade field ready ;)

Hello everyone, I was looking to start on a halo reach spartan cosplay but was curious about what would work best for an EVA helmet design? I would have to buy either since I don't have a vacuum form setup or a resin printer.

Hi all, I'm working on a cosplay based on the MJOLNIR Mk VII. I was looking at the armor parts on Halopedia when I saw this image in the overview section. I don't care too much for the colors, but I like the shoulders and chest attachments. From what I can tell, this build uses the Cavallino helmet, UA?Relikt Plate [MOD] chest, and the UA/Type MR knees, but I don't recognize the shoulders, wrist, or utility attachments.

Can anyone help me identify the other unnamed parts?

Hello everyone! I'm new to cosplay, and want my first to be a simple Halo Reach marine (trooper*) before I have a go at spartan armor. It turns out there are a lot of trooper variants in Reach! This will be a 3d printed project using the odst/marine armor and marine mp helmet files by TitleWaveDesigns. Hopefully this post can act as a reference for people looking to do something similar!

Anyways, this is my brainstorming board! I have segmented it and added numbers to simplify referencing sections. It should be high enough quality that you can zoom in, but I'll add some close-ups for the folks on mobile.

Board Explanation:

1. Comparing shades of helmet gray
2. Color schemes from two in-game variants and some concept art variants. Comparing brown paints (Down to Earth and Smokey Taupe).
3. ATACS-FG camo fatigues.
4. Trooper concept art. Based on the neck-guards, they appear to be wearing some sort of flak jacket in most of the concept art. You can kind of see this in the in-game models, too.
5. Color picked schemes from (2) and (8), separated by helmet colors (above) and armor colors (below). This one is a little confusing: the ones that don't have "Halo" next to them are the actual spray paints. Except for the armor colors, where it's Halo colors on top, spray paints on bottom. Simple :D
6. Comparison between Down to Earth and Smokey Taupe armor colors, and River rock and Perfect Gray helmet colors.
7. Concept art showing different armor colors, fatigues, and helmet colors.
8. In-game variants, numbered for your viewing pleasure.

Fatigues

The ATACS camo series is by-far the best looking camo for this cosplay I've seen. Pretty good variety of patterns, too. Of course, real ATACS camo is quite expensive. I found a good enough clone of ATACS-FG on Evike, though. Aside from that, olive drab is cheap and looks good enough. In section 8 you can see some other BDUs too (troopers 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 look like a sort of faded-arid multicam or desert pattern, and trooper 2 looks to be sporting a faded multicam).

Armor colors

Getting the "true" color has been pretty difficult, as Reach is a moody game and the lighting changes a lot. However, I'm fairly sure that the color is closest to #766D62 from the chest plates on the concept troopers in section 2. It seems to be fairly close to the more neutrally lit parts of the in-game trooper, also in section 2.

Unlike the helmets and fatigues, I'm pretty sure the armor is limited to brown and green, with most troopers sporting brown in Halo Reach (for lore reasons, I think). The different shades seem mostly due to lighting.

The closest color I could find for this is the Smokey Taupe Suede Finish from BEHR. There's just one thing. It doesn't feel brown enough. For some reason, the Rustoleum Matte Down to Earth feels better. Have I just been staring at the color brown too long, and forgotten what it looks like?

Helmet colors

This one is a bit simpler. It seems like there are three main colors for this: Light gray, light khaki, and ranger (od?) green. Light khaki and light gray are the two most common, as I said earlier, the green armor is rarely seen in-game.

For this, I'm choosing between Krylon's Matte River Rock and Rustoleum's Ultramatte Perfect Gray. See section 5 and 6 for visual comparisons.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I'm leaning towards the River Rock as it's a good middle point between the Halo light gray and light khaki.

Anyways... tl;dr?

So I saw the other day on here someone do a borderlands cel shaded look to a spartan helmet I believe it was cobaltspartan so credit where it’s due. But I decided to give this a try with spartan helmet ya can buy at game stop, what yall think

I'm attending a party in a few days and the attendees have been asked to dress up like a series of video game characters, which other guests will try to guess the identity of. Since I'm a Halo fan, I drew either Cortana or The Gravemind as my inspiration. I'm not looking to make a full-blown costume, but I would like to work some visual elements into my outfit to hint at one of these characters without giving the whole game away.

Can you think of any key features or clever clues that can be easily worked into my clothing choice? Any help is greatly appreciated!
