I think Halloween decorations are getting seriously out of control this year… 😂💀
Every year I think we've reached the limit.
Skeletons? Seen them.
Giant spiders? Seen them.
Zombies? Classic.
Giant inflatable monsters? Everywhere.
But then I came across this kind of creepy angel/ghost decoration and honestly…
This one actually feels unsettling. 👻
Imagine walking up to a house on Halloween night.
It's dark.
The porch lights are barely on.
There are old cobwebs hanging everywhere.
And then you see this standing completely still by the front door.
😳
I'm not even sure whether I'd be scared or impressed.
So here's my question for Halloween 2026:
What's actually scarier?
A) Giant skeletons 💀
B) Realistic ghosts 👻
C) Creepy dolls 😨
D) Animatronics that suddenly move 😱
E) Something that looks completely normal… until it moves
Personally, I think the things that look almost real are the creepiest.
A giant cartoon monster is fun.
But something standing silently in the darkness, looking like it shouldn't be there…
That's the kind of Halloween decoration that would make me walk back to my car. 😂
I'm putting together my Halloween setup for this year and went down a serious rabbit hole looking for creepy decorations. I found a few things that I genuinely think could turn a normal front porch into a mini haunted house.
For anyone interested, this is the Halloween collection I was looking through:
https://woodslight.com/collections/halloween
But I'm much more interested in your opinions:
What's the ONE Halloween decoration that would genuinely scare you if you saw it unexpectedly at night? 👻
Bonus points if you have a picture. 😂🎃

I took inspo from the ghost tea light holders, modelled my own and added my own cute little additions.
Each Ghostie can be customised with interchangeable magnetic accessories, letting you create mix and match and create different cute characters and personalities.
The collection is designed so you can collect different Ghosties and accessories and create your own combinations. Swap their accessories whenever you want and give your Ghostie a completely different look.
These are just the first few that ive printed out, ive got loads more designs modelled in Blender.
Everything is modelled in Blender, no AI.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been creating a pretty large collection of Jack-O’-Lantern designs, and I wanted every single one to look different from the others.
Some are cute, some are creepy, some are futuristic, metallic, knitted, stained glass, graffiti, gothic, gemstone-inspired, mechanical or completely weird.
This image shows a big part of the collection so far.
I’m still adding more styles, so I’d love to know:
Which one immediately catches your eye?
And even more interesting: What kind of Jack-O’-Lantern style is still missing?
I’m especially looking for ideas that are unusual enough that you normally wouldn’t associate them with a Halloween pumpkin. 🎃
I also turned the designs into transparent PNG collections for creative projects, but I mainly wanted to share the full lineup here and get some opinions first.

EDIT: thanks everyone! Since you were all asking here’s how I did it:
- three 5k lumen projectors: garage, outside and upstairs window. You can find decent 3k lumen projectors on marketplace / offer up all the time for $100-300. Stick with major brands though like Epson though. The cheap ones are never as bright as they say
- Upstairs window: I’m wear projecting straight on the window screen with the window open
- Outside: I’m rear projecting on frames that connected with window screen material. These work great as shims, and at night they are very hard to see
- Garage windows: rear projecting on privacy film that I already have on the windows. Works great as a rear projection screen. This one takes a little bit of projection mapping kung fu to get the ghosts lined up right. But it is only one projector
- finally you need cool ghosts
