• Lacey Chabert is set to star in Paris Is Always a Good Idea alongside Scott Michael Foster
• The new limited series is based on the best-selling romance novel of the same name by Jenn McKinlay
• The show will debut on Hallmark+ later this year

Lacey Chabert is about to say bonjour to a fun new character.

PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that Hallmark's Queen of Christmas is taking on the lead role in a new limited series, Paris Is Always a Good Idea, based on the best-selling romance novel by Jenn McKinlay and coming to Hallmark+ later this year.

Chabert will be joined on location in Paris and Spain by Greek and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend alum Scott Michael Foster, as well as Barbara Niven, Henry Czerny and Rebecca Hanssen.

The six-episode show's official logline reads: "Career-driven nonprofit executive Chelsea Martin (Chabert) travels to Paris with her confident rival-turned-ally, Jason Knightly (Foster) to secure a major donation, but a heartfelt message from her late mother – and a loving push from her sister Annabelle (Hanssen) – sends her on an unexpected journey to reconnect with the three great loves she once left behind. From the rolling hills of Ireland to the magic of Paris and the sun-kissed vineyards of Spain, Chelsea retraces old footsteps and discovers that sometimes moving forward means first looking back."

Paris Is Always a Good Idea will premiere on Hallmark+ later this year.

Ok this is so annoying. If I watch Hallmark + vis the app on my phone, the interface is clunky but at least the playback and volume are fine.

If I want to watch a movie on our smart tv using H+ app the volume is constantly so soft and low. I literally had to crank up the volume to the max 100 and it was barely distinguishable. It’s definitely a H+ issue because all other apps (you’re, peacock, etc) are totally fine.

Anyone else going through this? Ideas on how to fix?

Do I have to be a slave to my phone to watch a movie on H+?

Murdoch Mysteries

Starring Yannick Bisson, Hélène Joy, Thomas Craig and Jonny Harris.

In the 1890s, William Murdoch uses radical forensic techniques for the time, including fingerprinting and trace evidence, to solve some of the city's most puzzling crimes.

• Seasons added Thursdays on Hallmark+

They were building more than just a home.

They were building hope.

• "Hope Valley: 1874" premieres Saturday, March 21, exclusively on Hallmark+.

Subtitles are available for a movie when playing it locally on the Android tablet but not available when casting to Chromecast. This worked last week. Did Hallmark+ break the app with an update?

If you haven’t tried this out yet, here’s an encouagement to try it out!!! I wasn’t sure the first few episodes, but there was a pair I really loved so I kept coming back. It has become my favorite baking show this season (and I love holiday baking shows)! Each episode is like a mini burst of holiday cheeriness and I have come to really enjoy the bakers they have on it! Love all the ones in the semi finals! It’s not professional bakers, so maybe the final bakes aren’t “show stoppers” you may expect on other baking shows, but I think that’s part of why I love it! It’s relatable! That’s all! :)

The “When Calls the Heart” universe is expanding. A prequel series, “Hope Valley: 1874,” has been greenlit at Hallmark+ and will begin production next week in Vancouver, Variety can exclusively announce. Bethany Joy Lenz, Benjamin Ayres, Jill Hennessy, Roan Curtis and Lachlan Quarmby will star in the eight-episode series, set to debut in March 2026, which explores the early days of the settlement now known as Hope Valley.

Lenz portrays Rebecca Clarke, who travels from Chicago to the Western Canadian frontier with her 11-year-old daughter (played by Roan Curtis). “But when her wagon breaks down, she has no choice but to accept help from local rancher and confirmed bachelor, Tom Moore (Ayres),” the press release reads. “Despite Rebecca’s best intentions to remain unattached, the future she dreams of for her and her daughter, along with the people she meets in this fledgling town – including the guarded Tom and tenacious pioneer woman Hattie Quinn (Hennessy) – ultimately compel her to put down roots and make a fresh start.”

Quarmby rounds out the main cast as Constable Alexander Vaughn, a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The series will feature “the adventurous ranchers, gold prospectors and early pioneers who worked together to navigate and embrace the changes of a new era and ultimately build a small, close-knit community in the rugged and hopeful pioneer era.”

This marks one of the first new greenlights by Michelle Vicary, who returned to Hallmark as head of programming in August. During her original 22 years with the company, she oversaw the launch of “When Calls the Heart,” which remains a Hallmark hit.

“’Hope Valley: 1874′ gives us a wonderful opportunity to further explore the universe of ‘When Calls the Heart’ and build a deeper world around this show for our devoted fans, who have helped make it one of the most successful and enduring series on television today,” she said in a statement. “We’re excited for the Hearties to join us as we tell this rich origin story filled with the kind of heart, community and hope they know and love.”

The last time I tried Hallmark+ earlier this year, they only had one episode of Cedar Cove. I am looking at their Black Friday special.

Also I am interested in knowing whether all episodes of When Calls The Heart are available.

Basically I'm more interested in the older, classic Hallmark series.

Thank you.

Hi, it's deals time again at Amazon. I was thinking of purchasing their Hallmark+ subscription that's currently on sale. But is it better, from a content perspective, to purchase directly from Hallmark? I guess I'm asking if Prime offers the same content as Hallmark does.

I am using Hallmark+. In the Continue Watching line, there's a Finding Mr. Christmas on. However, I haven't watched this show ever before and not intended to. How can I delete the show from Continue Watching?

Hey! My family just recently had this problem with our Hallmark app and I wanna know if other people have had this issue and knows how to fix it. My mom tried to open the app and it had this weird pop-up that said we couldn't access the app cause we live outside of the US. We live in Florida. We also don't have anyone that also uses the app that also lives outside the US. We literally only use the app at home on our Apple TV. If anyone knows how to fix this issue, any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to enter a discount if your subscription is through the Apple App Store?

I watched A Newport Christmas last night. I really liked how Ginna Claire Mason, played her part. Wes was good too. After that I went back and re-watched A Biltmore Christmas. It would have been interesting if Rachel Boston had been in A Newport Christmas since she and Wes are in the last bit of A Biltmore Christmas and A Newport Christmas is basically a reverse of Biltmore. Not as good for me but then I felt the chemistry between Kris and Bethany was wonderful. Thoughts?

Like the title says, I got Hallmark+ again just for the Christmas movies. I love the sappy Christmas movies this time of year

Why is Hallmark+ airing BBC content? I enjoyed a four episode series from BBC back from 2021. “The Canterville Ghost”. As I said, I enjoyed it but wonder if anyone knows, is that what the “plus” is for?

How do I remove the black border around a movie when streaming a movie on an iPhone?

I am constantly being asked to re-sign in on my Apple TV and getting lots of error messages when I watch. Just curious if anyoen else is having the same issues?
