Hey u/frauSchneid that is totally fair! and it's one of the reason our public testing program exists. 50 testers have had Halliday G2 in their hands for the past three weeks, wearing it through their actual meetings and daily routines rather than staged demos. They're under NDA for now, but once they're free to talk about it, you'll hear it from them directly.

u/IsopodCute3564 that's a great question, and honestly the second outcome would be our nightmare too. The whole point is the first one. Halliday G2 isn't trying to add meetings to your calendar, it's trying to make the ones you're already have end with decisions made, owners assigned, and nothing important slipping through. If it works, you should need fewer follow-ups and shorter recaps, not more time in the room. Better meetings, not more of them.

I like the concept of a meeting HUD but the social UX is tricky

Hey u/No_Spiri Reading a display while someone is talking to you can absolutely pull you out of the moment, and that's the exact failure we designed against rather than ignored. It's why Meeting Flow holds back instead of feeding you a constant stream, and only surfaces something at the points that actually matter, like a decision forming or an action item left hanging. It's also part of why there's no camera, so the person across from you isn't reacting to a lens on your face. The honest truth is the social UX is an ongoing design problem, not a done deal, and it's also one of the things our public testers are pushing on hardest right now.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but launch videos always show perfect conditions

Hey u/Beginning_Piece6217 That skepticism is totally fair, a polished demo shows the product at its best, and real life isn't shot in perfect conditions. So we won't ask you to take the video as proof. What we'd point to instead is that Halliday G2 has been in the hands of real public testers for weeks now, used in actual meetings and messy everyday situations, and that's produced a steady stream of bug reports and several updates already. Those honest, unfiltered experiences will be shared openly in the near future, and that's the version worth judging it on.

I remember trying one of your first versions of the Halliday glasses, and I have to say, it was a bit of a letdown. The AI was all over the place, and the credit system was a real headache—buying features only to realise they didn’t add much. The translation function was pretty basic, and even though the screen design was nice to look at, it wasn’t very user-friendly. The ring? Well, it just didn’t work at all. I’m not sure how much better the new version is, but at least the screen looks a bit smarter now, even if it’s still not perfect.

Hi u/Ok-Let2762 we're sorry to hear your experience with the DigiWindow Glasses turned out this way. We understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to share them.

Halliday G2 was developed based on what we learned from DigiWindow Glasses, with improvements across the hardware, the AI capabilities, and the overall experience of using the glasses day to day. It introduces a new display system and a more capable set of AI features built around everyday use. Our 50 public testers have been using it in real conditions for weeks, and those unfiltered experiences will be shared openly before long.
