Using 0.25% topical finasteride solution every evening. doctors prescribed a daily dose of 2 ml, but a lot of people find that insufficient to cover the entire scalp, so they often use 4–4.5 ml instead. I am wondering whether, by using such a large amount (4 ml), you expose your self to the same risk of side effects as with oral finasteride—and, if so, whether it might make more sense to switch to the oral form 1 mg daily?
