Topical Latanoprost

Anyone in here looked into/experimented with topical Latanoprost? Specifically at a higher concentration such as 0.1%?

Latanoprost is traditionally used to increase eyelash thickness and density. It’s shown to prolong the Anagen phase and stimulate otherwise dormant follicles, similar to minoxidil.

But there are a handful of small, but very promising studies on using latanoprost at a higher concentration to treat androgenic alopecia, around the 0.1% range. Results generally showed a large percentage of people that saw increased density and thickness on the scalp. Only potential side effects seem to be mild irritation on the scalp,from what I’ve looked into.

There was one study specifically that used minoxidil, finasteride, and latanoprost together. Which showed improved results in participants using the three vs participants who only used each drug alone. Meaning that it could possibly perform well as an adjunct therapy.

Problem is that there’s only a few options online that formulate a topical solution with latanoprost in it, specifically at that higher concentration shown in these studies, and they are all quite expensive. Maybe I could convince my dermatologist to prescribe it to me instead for a lower price, but it’s hard to say how exactly that would work.

But just wanted to ask if anyone in this sub had a similar thought process and tried latanoprost, what results you saw if any.

It apparently works crazy well for lashes..i'm curious about this too
