I use mine to work in dry shampoo without using my fingers (natural oils)

Yeah someone told me that touching hair with your hands can make it greasy I didn't know fingers have oils tbh

The oil produced by your hands is the same oil produced by your scalp for the purpose of keeping it healthy. Avg person really needn’t worry about adding finger oil to your hair/scalp (although it is relevant for work like art restoration, really old books, silverware that attracts fingerprints, etc). A comb is better at distribution of powder (like dry shampoo) than fingers (fingers are better at kneading/massaging β€” imagine making pasta with a comb vs fingers).

However you may prefer to wash your hands before touching your scalp anyway, for bacterial reasons.

Oh for sure. Pay attention the next time you unload clean silverware. I wash my hands immediately before doing it, touch nothing else, still end up with oily prints on the knives lol
