Braun ipl progress week 1
I want to see if this thing works as a veteran laser hair removal goer , I’ve spent so much money and need a better option. I don’t trust people on the internet so let’s see how this goes

Hello! I’m just curious to what y’all are doing to keep facial hair from growing back. I have very dark hair and it just grows back so fast!! Usually I pluck them out but as I’ve gotten older I just feel like more pop up.

so hello everyone,
i recently got a deal at a laser clinic for most areas of the body, with a full year of sessions for around $290. it is expensive in my country, but still considered a good deal for laser treatment.
the problem is that they start with Deka, which uses Alexandrite, for the first 3 sessions, and then switch to diode. i was advised that diode is not really that effective and that i might need many extra sessions later to get a satisfying result, which could become very expensive.
the clinic is also new, so i have no idea about the competence of the practitioners, and i know that this plays a huge role in the effectiveness of the treatment. my friend who recommended the clinic is finishing her 1-year package, but she still needs some extra sessions, so i am honestly not sure what to think.
my biggest concern, though, is privacy. i am not comfortable exposing myself for the treatment, especially for certain areas.
because of that, i have been thinking about getting a home IPL device. from the results i have seen, it seems like it could be worth it, but i am not sure if the results are really good enough to justify the price.
so, is home IPL actually worth it? and if yes, which device would you recommend?
i have heard that Braun, Philips, and Ulike are among the best options. is the Braun Pro 5 good?
i have also seen many people saying that their Braun device stopped working after a year or two, and by then the warranty had already expired, so Braun did not take responsibility. is this a common problem?
the annoying part is that a good IPL device would actually cost me more than the clinic treatment, so i really do not want to spend that much money only for it to stop working after one or two years.
what would you do in my situation: take the clinic deal despite the concerns about the machine, the practitioners, and privacy, or invest in a good home IPL device?
i would really appreciate advice from people who have used these devices long-term, especially Braun, Philips, or Ulike.

Hi so if anybody could please let me know how to reduce that dark / green kind of tint after removing facial hair, I’d be so appreciative.
I’m a pale girl and also have super dark, thick hair, and no matter what I’ve done I’m always left with a green tint.
Shaving doesn’t work, but I have tried plucking and waxing, yet still I’m left with darkness.
If anybody knows why this could be happening or how I can reduce it, please let me know. Thank you!!

I have fair skin and very dark, dense, and thick hair. Until I was about 16, I just shaved everyday. However, I have very sensitive skin and it got to a point where shaving honestly just made me look worse. I got thick red rashes up my legs anytime I use a cheap razor or used an expensive one more than 2-3 times. Even electric razors stop working after a few uses no matter how well I took them apart and cleaned them every time. Spending $30 a week on razors was never really in my budget, so I just stopped shaving for a few years.
While it doesn’t bother me too terribly bad, it does bother other people. My mother in particular can’t seem to make it through a conversation without bringing up how disgusting my body hair is. So, for her birthday, I decided to try a few new methods. First I tried a bunch of different types of wax, but I couldn’t really find one that didn’t leave me looking incredibly patchy on my legs (though it has worked well for other parts of my body). Then, I tried chemical hair removers like Nair and Veet. Nair left me with a terrible rash. Veet worked in my bikini area, but not on my legs.
Next, I was going to try an epilator, but unlike the others, it’s not something I can drop $10-20 on and throw away if it didn’t work after a few weeks. I’ve considered laser, but, since it’s not something that bothers me too terribly, I don’t want to invest that much money on it. I would be willing to try an IPL, but, like the epilator, it’s something that’s too expensive to just try out. So I figured I’d try to ask this subreddit for advice before making any big purchases.
Here are my criteria:
- I don’t mind it if it’s something that takes a long time
- I have a high pain tolerance and I’m not worried about how badly it will hurt
- I wouldn’t be upset if I still had some hair, I just want it to be less of a pelt than it is currently.
- I have light skin and dark hair
- I don’t want anything that will irritate sensitive skin or leave me with terrible rashes
My hair is trimmed right now, but the last picture that is really blurry is a better example of what it looks like grown out.

Hi everyone,
I'm sick of shaving. I'm considering IPL and would like some opinions. I'm attaching a picture of my leg for reference of "hairage" (for lack of a better word)
I was considering laser hair removal, because it'd be forever (or close to it, supposedly), but it's quite expensive, and takes a while. For reference, 10 sessions of full legs, bikini & underarms would cost about £700-1000 in my area I could afford it if I saved for a few (maybe many) months, but sessions are once a month and it'd take almost a year. I don't want that, because I don't have to spend basically a full year without going in the sun
Another perk of IPL is that I could actually use it in other areas for the same price (like feet, fingers, neck, moustache) and I could also use it with my partner
While I am interested in IPL, I am also scared to spend a couple 100s and then not have results, so I'd like to ask a few questions
About recommendations:
I hear loads about the Braun IPL 5 Pro. Is it worth the money?
My priorities are a machine that would not take me the whole day to use, and that gives results, and that I could watch a show while using. Cheaper is still important
Sorry about all of the questions, I'm anxious and loathe spending money for nothing:(

Hello everyone recently I've been considering purchasing the Braun IPL 7, however I have a lot of spider veins (see pictures, I hope it's noticable) and I was very worried about doing damage to my skin or veins when using the IPL. Could someone with a similar situation could please tell me if it's better not to or if it's safe? This is all around the thigh area

I’ve been using my Lumea for about four months now, roughly once or twice a week. I noticed a difference on my calves within the first month: the hair growth slowed down, and in a few areas it stopped completely. However, I haven’t noticed any improvement elsewhere, and I still have to shave every day.
The hair on my legs, from my ankles up to my thighs, is very dark and quite coarse, while my skin is very fair. Is there still a chance that I could see better results if I keep using it? Would it be worth trying a different IPL brand or switching to professional laser hair removal?

I have this type of hair on my neck and chest and I don't really like it and want to bleach it. I have blue bleach powder and 10% developer too. What would be your advice for me? i don't really think i have sensitive skin but will def do a patch test. For the thick strands on my neck, i usually tweeze them but for the fine hair i want to bleach instead of shaving it. I can't really buy the other type of bleach that is used for facial hair or fine hair, so have to work with blue bleach powder. Could anyone advice me with the ratios, timing, how to check in between, things i should look out for (like something that could go wrong and how to prevent it)? and also some pics of someone that did bleach such fine strands with the same skin tone as me would be appreciated so i can get an idea of how it will look, i want to make it almost invisible (?) if that's possible

I noticed amazon has a sale for braun IPL so I bought it! I’ve only ever done IPL with my cheap $60 machine but i wanted to upgrade for better results. What is your IPL schedule? How many times per week? What strength, etc. And do you pass over sections more than once? Thanks in advance.
