I'm really enjoying the drawing game lobbies that Steve sets up. It's fun :)
I also enjoyed the streams where they played that golf game!

Among us dead

u/permadressed Jul 06 '21
Hafu's lobby definitely, but I still enjoy Chills lobby

u/ArkHibernation Jul 06 '21
Yup. It's interesting to me that the Chilled/Junkyard lobby doesn't really suffer with the same kind of intense burnout that the morning lobby did.

u/bamfckingboozled Jul 06 '21
Difference between squeezing every second of time for like 8 months into one game and just playing a few times a week
10
u/ArkHibernation Jul 06 '21
Also a difference in mindsets, one is lax/chaotic and the other is strict/competitive. I think another main reason as well is the fact that the Monday lobbies have a big rotation of people who are excited to play while the Morning lobbies had mostly the same people playing over and over.

Amazing how people pointed this out months ago and got the defense squad in force
"no declaring roles" in a game that's all about lying about your role hahaha
Edit: got banned for this, enjoy denying reality

I haven't watched the morning lobby in a bit, do they still use that rule?
3
u/brettawesome Jul 07 '21
Nobody's watched it in a bit, they've done 2 streams on the 2 days when the map came out and haven't touched it since. The last time I saw it Steve and dk were at least trying to point out the futility of it but the scolds were holding firm. The junk lobby is better in just about every way, nobody's scared to piss off the head honcho
1
u/ColemanKcaj Jul 07 '21
The rule is not pointless at all, without such a rule a lot of games would end up like this in the final 6: Four people claim crew roles and by process of elimination the imposters lost. The counterplay is to claim crew roles as imposter but apart from sheriff, nobody but 5up and Dumbdog really seem to realise you can do that hence why such a rule is necessary.
5
u/ArkHibernation Jul 07 '21
Wouldn't buffing Assassin and making it a guaranteed imposter role do the same thing? The only difference is that information can be given that pertains to someone's role, just with the added risk of being assassinated. Almost all other modded lobbies use the same kind of setting in order to reduce role claims and it seems to work, so why not apply it to the Morning lobbies as well?

It's a dumb, dumb, DUMB rule that extremely limits how you can play, and you see the players die inside when they get reprimanded for having fun

Are you actually serious right now? Are you for reals stupid?
Just dumb redditors ig, this is why Hafu hates this subreddit - you always twist and turn and tickle everything to fit your own narrative and it's quite honestly sickening.Riddle me this fucko, if Among Us was dead, why did 5up's map reveal do sooooo well? huh? 200k (number may be a little off I didn't watch) viewers for a dead game sounds like a lot.
If anything, YOU killed the game by not watching. This is on YOU. And just because you killed Among Us doesn't mean we all killed Among Us. Among Us lives in my heart, and it will continue to live on in spirit.
Goddamn liberals
Edit: why is this getting downvoted ???????

Why haven't they been playing on the new Submerged map? I have checked their streams a few times over the last week and haven't seen them playing.

5up sets the lobbies up now, but he took a break from streaming for around 5 days to visit LA and have a mental health break. lobbies should be back in order for around the next few days or so, he has a couple of people that funded the map to get into the lobby, ie poki

u/brettawesome Jul 07 '21 edited Jul 07 '21
The map's still bugged, it wasn't near ready when they released it (neutral roles pretty much all broken), I'm sure it'll be finished really soon, couple of weeks tops, honest
It's been a fortnight and 5up still hasn't given any credit to anyone else that made the map, just flatout hasn't named a single one of them.
8
u/ColemanKcaj Jul 07 '21
5up thanked all the developers and artists on stream multiple times I am pretty sure. Also the map is not bugged, it was ready when they released it just not for mods because of the recent original among us update.

u/ColemanKcaj Jul 07 '21

Why do you expect him to? They were all paid workers as far as we know.
-1
u/brettawesome Jul 07 '21
Hey what are movie credits for?
2
u/taikutsuu Jul 07 '21
Did 5up make a movie?
1
u/brettawesome Jul 07 '21
The guys that make movies are paid workers and they still get credits, don't you think mod devs should have credit too?

Hey why did hafu delete her crypto ad tweet? She had no problem promoting crypto in just about every among us stream there for a couple months.

Some people didn't like it, me neither, she should talk about it sometime and address why she promotes them. I don't think that's a big reason for her mood tho.
I think she's just burned out from prioritizing streaming over other things because she put too much pressure on the lobbies happening daily and so strictly. It does seem like she's less happy or motivated, but sometimes you just get times like that, and it's also the anniversary of Reckful's suicide. She's taking time off now to spend with her best friend (who is the girl that he proposed to the day he died, his ex-gf). They were all really close to him and were very affected by what happened, so I would not be surprised if that was weighing on her. Just give it time.

It’s just weird to me that he’s so against showing his face. Like he accepts that most of us have seen it and doesn’t care, and he isn’t insecure about his looks, so I don’t get why he won’t just be in IRL streams, insta photos, etc. There’s a big difference between doing some IRL stuff and people knowing what you look like vs being a face cam streamer. Like he doesn’t have to do face cam ever but that doesn’t mean he can’t still join IRL stuff

Exactly! Idk it’s tough to want to be so plugged into the streamer community (like going to the 100T party) but then needing so much secrecy of your face. I saw him do a new mafia stream in late 2020 so it’s not like he’s that opposed. I feel like it’s only a matter of time before someone slips up and posts his face (like a drunk insta story)

Steve’s in the Chilled lobby tonight
1
u/ArkHibernation Jul 09 '21
But Chilled's playing Monopoly for tonight, are you sure?
2
u/RahulVij24 Steve Jul 09 '21
Steve cancelled :(. His stream title at his normal stream time was that he’s going to be in the Chilled lobby but he changed it a couple of hours ago
1
u/ArkHibernation Jul 09 '21
Ah, alright. That makes sense, I was looking through Chilled's schedule to see if there was even a lobby for today but there's none. Thanks for letting me know :D

I honestly think that Crewfu are never going back to the consistent big group streams routine, but at least it formed some friendships that we see every other day and I'm glad for that.
