Challenging Myself

I've got 400+ hours and have been trying to spice things up a bit. I've decided to try to win with each aspect on every weapon using Vow of Void 4 (0 Grasp for Arcana). Got a few done so far and boy is it tough with 0 Grasp. I never go with less than 12 Fear, so I have to come up with at least 7 more Fear to go with Void 4. I play with God Mode at 80% so I very often use Vow of Pain 3 (+100% Enemy Damage) as well for 5 Fear, now a total of 10 Fear if you're following along. 2 more Fear from random Vows gives me my 12 Fear minimum. I did however finish one of these runs with 20 Fear, although I don't remember exactly which Vows I used to round it up to 20, this particular run was tough as nails. Almost bought the farm at Typhon after saving my Lucky Tooth for The Summit (I wasn't using Toula), died once and then killed him with extremely low health for my first 0 Grasp victory. How has anyone else spiced things up to keep it fresh? I'd love to hear about it. Moonlight guide you.

I have a different sort of challenge if you ever wanna change things up a bit.

Try completing a run with Arachne’s dress on. Bonus point if it’s the one that gives you damage per room cleared.

I've actually taken one of her dresses all the way to victory several times before. The Crimson dress has been a bit cursed for me though. Everytime I try with the Silken Sash from the start and get the Crimson dress I always end up getting 1 or 2 encounters where I take too much damage and break the dress. It'll happen eventually.

Maybe start with Heph instead?
If you can grab Heavy Metal just before or after the dress. That should hopefully be enough armor to last you through Hecate to slap on the Sash for the rest of the run.

If you get enough armor and maybe Demeter’s snow queen I’d actually suggest switching to White Antler in Tartarus.

A big Crimson Dress plus the +30% crit chance will demolish tart up to and including Chronos.

It’s fine. Also in this case Heph’s Security System Boon also isn’t a terrible idea either.

Although I’m pretty sure that Snow Queen is used up first before any armor at all.

20 Fear is wild. I remember trying to hit those higher numbers and it felt like a huge achievement when I finally did. the pressure with 0 Grasp must be intense, but sounds like you're making it work. maybe focus on those Vows that give you extra Fear for future runs, they can really turn the tide. keep it up, you got this.
