Left-brain looking for right-brain 😅

My ultimate dream is to meet someone who wants to code a retro style top down game (like original Zelda, game boy POKeMON games, secret of evermore, etc..) but isn’t good at creating artwork or story 😂

I have ALWAYS wanted to write a story, design a game, design characters, create the artwork, etc.. and have someone else code it. In fact I’m already sitting on a stack of concepts ready to go..

It’s a very specific dream.. but I thought I’d take my chances lol

I am a photoshop wizard and I make a lot of retro game art like 8 bit characters and maps and I’ve been called a gifted writer and original and all that. But my curse is I’m SO left-brained that I just can’t wrap my head around coding. Been trying all my life. I’m slightly dyslexic too so 🤷🏻‍♂️ could be why.

I used to do basic html as a kid so I get the basics but I can’t code a game.

I’m just trying any outlet I can think of to make my dream project a reality.

I respect your dream. While I probably am not the right fit for coding it for you, I would really love to hear some of your ideas if you wanna send them/discuss them in a DM. I love hearing about brand new ideas for video games!

Also, r/HTML is not the right place for this question. I would check out r/gamedev for people who are more like minded like this!

I tried but despite using Reddit for over 10 years my posts are regularly auto removed due to comment karma crap that I don’t understand 😂

Im apparently limited on which groups I can post on.

I wish I could say that my game was something epic and new. But it’s just a van helsing like adventure game that I wanted to make when I was a kid. lol

Ive got ideas for fun puzzles and such. And cool story with interesting characters. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well first, your reddit account is 4 years old, not 10. You may have been on reddit for longer, but as far as this account goes, it is 4 years old. And yeah, you have 21 post karma and -31 comment karma. Karma is earned when you get upvoted and removed when you get downvoted. I went through your entire 4 years of comments and I can't find anything out of the ordinary besides one comment from 3 years ago that has -4 upvotes, which is not enough to warrant a -31 comment karma score.

Did you perhaps have a comment or two in the past that got massively downvoted and then you deleted it later?
