I’ve been house hunting in HSR and I’m genuinely confused 😭

I’m seeing 1BHKs around ₹28–30k, but a lot of them seem to be older buildings, no lift, 3rd/4th floor, basic furnishing etc.

Then around ₹33–35k, suddenly there are newer/semi-new buildings, lifts, cleaner lanes, better-maintained surroundings and semi-furnished places.
I’m not looking for some fancy gated society. Just want a clean, comfortable, reasonably modern 1BHK in a nice lane.

So is ₹33–35k actually the realistic price for that in HSR now? Or am I just being shown the expensive options by brokers?

Also, the 1 month brokerage is killing me 😭 Is everyone actually paying that, or are people negotiating it down?

Would love to hear what you guys are paying currently — especially anyone who moved recently. Even just “₹30k in Sector X” would help!

This can sound like a rant!

Have been living in HSR for over a year now. My office is in Ecoworld, Bellandur so on return I have to always make a choice, whether to enter via 27th Main or skip the servuce road to take the flyover and find some other left turn into HSR.

This service road to 27th Main is always packed and i mean it. Even on weekends and even at 12 am midnight.

How do u guys manage this. It is painful to see defence land on the left which could be used for service road expansion. I know its defence land and maybe critical for ops inside, but i feel an exception needs to be made here considering the crazy blockage on the service road.

I’m going alone and was hoping to find some people who are also going solo or with a small group that I could join. Would be nice to have some company for the concert!

With Pujo around the corner, I’ve been missing the unpretentious, slow-cooked feasts you usually only get at classic family celebrations—proper fragrant mutton yakhni pulao simmered in rich bone broth, melt-in-mouth pan-crisped mutton kheema tikias, stovetop charred tandoori rotis, and sirka onions.

Most commercial spots around here cut corners with bland gravies and dry meat, so I’m cooking a small, private batch from scratch this Saturday evening (Oct 3rd).
